  1. No need to break. Apart from the Welding the remaining jobs are all simple/cheap/quick to sort.
  2. Sorry to see its in such a bad way Marcus. When do you expect to have her back ?
  3. What were the points though marcus ? I know PJ let you down with your car, but all his job to do was to replace your dead engine with your supplied engine.
  4. eek :( I had 16 failures on a Bmw once and cost me £1200 to sort.
  5. According to NGK, the 11b was comissioned by Nissan U.S for the Z32
  6. Yep, didn't say colder though, I said suitable for higher boost (different length shroud for improved det resistence) ;) :p
  7. I agree. Ultimatly a Single turbo setup can produce more power than a Twin setup, ideal for Dyno queens or 1/4 mile only though. But if your only aiming at 500hp there's no point suffering with the extra lag and cost of fabrication.
  8. you found NGK PFR6B-11B at a general motor factors ? Thats quite suprising tbh. They only fit the 300zx, whereas most other plugs fit various models, and they are'nt normally available in the UK (11B was made by NGK for Nissan U.S only as an aftermarket option to the 11C)
  9. http://www.smithys-place.co.uk - £55 delivered
  10. Incorrect or old oil can cause cold morning early lifter noise, If its just been serviced do you know what oil was used ?
  11. Its not the V6 thats the problem (the Z31 was a Single turbo V6 for example) its the room in the Z32 engine bay thats the problem, although there are a couple of Z32 Single turbo conversions out there. S14 enginebay may allow for more room than the Z32, in particular around the back of the engine. What turbo is it running, any dyno figures ?
  12. I have nothing against modifying the NSX, there are some fantastic altered examples out there but every single modification I can visbily see on that NSX has ruined it imo ! As for it being a Race car...nope I dont think so, to blingy, thats all for show.
  13. Bump !! We have 11 names down so far. Need to finalise by end of the week and will collect payments in March.
  14. Having 4 wheels would make it a Car ?
  15. NGK Plantnum are OEM for the Z32. NGK PFR6B-11C (standard boost) NGK PFR6B-11B (for raised boost) The only spark plugs I would ever fit becuase they are the only ones specifically designed for the VG30DETT. Others have incorrect shroud length.
  16. I would say at least half of all Z's I've looked at have had the Brown sludge found in cooling system - rust from poor antifreeze use over long periods.
  17. I was lead ot believe that its just a smaller version of the 350z, style wise, As per Takemetothepub's post : Its a shame it wont be anywhere near comparable to the GTR. The Z was designed as Nissans top Sports car, but unfortuantly has now been well and truly overshadowed by the GTR.
  18. are you looking to keep it as an NA, even if you use a TT engine ? (I think so, from what you said)...The TT is a lower compression engine to handle the boost, it will be way down on power as an NA compared to the regular NA engine.
  19. Happy Birthday !!! :duffer: :hyper:
  20. Congrats !!!! :duffer:

  22. Typical labour for engine out, and then new engine is is around £500-£700. You can pick up 2nd hand engines for anything from £300-£1000. But you want one that has been seen running and that has had a compression test, so your looking £700+ really. You may need to budget for New cambelt, waterpump..etc - £300 Zedworlds price is fairly typical when you consider the warranty. Vat on top of that price is a bit of sting though. The only other thing to keep in mind is that if your having your engine out its a good idea to get the Turbo's inspected too. This usually involves sending them of to a a Turbo manufacturer (such Turbo Dynamics) who will inspect and advice of any reconditioning required. It can mean more expense but at least you safe in the knowledge that your not going to have to pull the engine out 3 months later becusae the tubs have packed up.
  23. The Mk1 RS2000 is  Cant stand Capri's though, prob not the cars Fault...just the bad image they had when I was growing up, they were considered a bit of a joke.
  24. OMG ! I like the um.........smooth nose panel.
