  2. Wont have Hicas if its an NA steering wheel ;) You can get Steering boss with or without Cruise control buttons for Hicas and non-hicas versions. Just depends on wether you want to keep the cruise control or not.

    Hi :) This club/forum is for the Z32 (1989-2000) , but we do have some members that previously had Z31's so you may get some advice. If you dont get any answers though have a try on http://www.zclub.net as they cater for all Z models.

  7. You need to earth the negative HID lead (the wire that attaches to the bulb from the Ballast unit) to keep the Dipped beam on when you flash high beam
  8. I doubt any of those cars would achieve that mpg. Zed will be more economical than them. My 535i used to get mid 20's on motorway.
  9. Out of your list - the Bmw 7 series (e38) would get my vote. Although I would prefer the E39 5 series in Sport trim personally Merc is a big brick. Lexus is a bit plasticky inside, good engine though I like the jag - dodgy image though Im not that much of a 166 styling fan (like the 156 though)
  10. I went with smooth originally on my Black TT, but yeh did'nt look right. SWB suits smooth better than LWB.
  11. I really dislike the Standard spoiler. Ruins the lines of the zed and dates the car IMO. I have now removed the fibreglass replica that my slicktop has on in my sig pic. Have had all 3 and I like smooth and 99spec.

  13. absolutely, although suprisngly in this case was not that noticable and it was only a small vacumn hose rather than one of the IC pipes loose. Was very suprised to discover.

So I could set one up for datalogging if I can work out a min and max and there corresponding output voltage ? eg. temp sender....if I measure the voltage at a known min and high tempertaute (0 and 120degrees for example) then I can set that up for datalogging and it can measure the full scale inbetween accuratly ?
  15. not 100% seized turbo. Had it before on another persons zed, naturally presumed it was seized tubs, then amazingly found a small vacumn pipe off that was caussing zero boost. Ended up being a free 2 min job instead of a £1500 job. Have also seen one with same problem, and it was seized tub...from oil starvation...and they unseized themselves during a drive and the impellors tore themselves from the bearings ending in a lot of smoke and rattles.

  19. Its no problem - Have done TT conversion on a NA (convertable) yeh its missing some of the brackets, but its no big deal, and if you fit aftermarket uprated IC and pipework that does'nt matter. Original TT and TT converisons are the same at the end... except for V5 docs I guess. I suppose at least you can sell the NA to recoup costs though. Are you after 2+2, SWB or Slicktop shell ?
