  1. My Zed will be getting weighed as soon as she's on the road, but Im not sure how a weigh bridge would feel about us all turning up there for a meet while they are busy working ! LOL
  2. Which Z1 tubs did you go for John ?
  3. Payments closed. 13/14 Cars 22 Admission tickets 12 Track Sessions
  4. You slip while tugging on the Coat hanger and it goes straight through your eye ?
  5. Done many times. Total PITA to get it through the rubber. Easier if you pull the rubber out of both the door and sill and feel it through bit by bit. There is room in there for the cable its just very fiddly getting it through. New cables are worth doing though as the old stuff is so thin.
  6. As soon as my car is done, and not before LOL That will be 2009 then :slap: There in Thornbury, Bristol. We've had a couple of dyno days with them before.
  7. Cheers guys, Its not currently insured with anyone but I will try the one you mentioned simon. Cheers :)
  8. ahhhh. but your avatar is of a red zed and your sig is of a blue swb ..... you dont have either :p :p
  9. Are those flywheel or rear wheel HP figures ? You could get the block and head mig wired for extra head gasket safety. What turbo's are you going to run ? and what Intercoolers ?
  10. If you can get new bigger turbo's then I would recommend it. They will produce far more power at lower boost than stock turbos becuase they run much cooler and the stock tubs tend to run out of steam at higher rpm too. You will regret going forged and having bigger injectors but sticking with the stock tubs. You could always recon your stock tubs and sell them to get back some money towards it. Bigger tubs available from £1k up
  11. and what Paul means by Map properly, is on a rolling road. Off the shelf chips are designed for up to around 1 bar. When your raising boost further you really want to get a custom map done. Stock intercoolers become inefficient at anything over stock boost pressure and I would'nt run more than 1 bar with them.
  12. No, stock tubs are good for up to 18psi, proven many times, but they wont last long and your much better off with bigger aftermarket anyway. I wouldn't bother running them that high.
  13. Stock rods forged but not the highest quality, I meant aftermarket forged....
  14. Most people run 13/14psi with stock everything else, just Exhaust, Induction and chip. Injectors are the limiting factor and are maxing at around 15psi...as are the stock Intercoolers. Stock tubs are good for 17/18psi before they become inefficient, but don't expect them to last long if they are already under high mileage. Change to aftermarket forged rods if your chasing 600+ If your looking to run boost over 20psi then I would consider getting the Block and heads mig wired instead.
  15. Does it have to be Auto ? As I know Paul@SWZ has a Manual 51 plate Blue Fiat Punto 1.2 for sale for just £1100 at the moment.
  16. Last time with Intepro it was £30 if we get upto 20 cars and £25 is we can get 21 or more. I cant see us getting more than 20 though unless we joined with another Club.
  17. My previous TT and NA on 19". Some 19's look a lot bigger than others, these are relatively small looking 19's - most people presume they are 18" :
  18. Nice one Pete :D ..but what am I going to do all day !!!
  19. Previous dyno days have been around the £25-£35 figure from what I remember. As long as there are enough numbers the price should be around that for a Dyno run.
  20. no, you just remove clutch pedal box ;) ...or if your Paul@swz then you whip the matrix out in 15mins without even taking out the clutch box, while the rest of us mere mortals struggle with the entire process. He's to used to being upside down, probably sleeps like that! He still has to remove the clutch to refit new matrix so defeats the object really....he just likes to show off :slap:
  21. The Jap Bar is thinner than UK. I cant say for sure but I expect UK is same size bar as U.S You should be able to get a UK bar from a breakers quite easily.
  22. Has anyone insured there car without the "road risks" part while it is off the road ? My car wont be driveable for another month or 2 at least, but Im worried about theft or damage to it in the meantime but dont really want to pay for full cover when it wont be going anywhere. Do all insurance companies offer this sort of cover, how would it work with valuation...etc ? In the eyes of an insurer its not worth much when its in bits and does'nt go anywhere, but its worth a hell of a lot of money to me in Parts and time if anything was to happen to it ! David
