  1. It will hopefully be going on my slicktop :D
  2. I gave up about 2 years ago when my youngest was born. I went cold turkey and would'nt do it any other way. Felt like shit for 2 days then was physically fine after that. After that its just the habit you need to mentally get over. Chewing gum helped me with that. I dont agree with the patches, I may be wrong but from what I understood the nicotine is out of your system in 48hrs anyway, , so the patches just drag it out longer. it all to do with conditioning your mind.
  3. so for that £500 difference (providing you do the labour yourself), you can improve its performance, fuel economy, reliability, desirability, enjoyment to drive and add up to £1k in value onto the car ! That's an easy decision
  4. Nothing to stop others within the region arranging meets. No need to split up the regions into new sections. Although you have to have members showing an interest to cater for them...even when we have Meets around Bristol we get very few Bristol and Gloucester members attending anyway, and most of those that do attend have travelled from much futher south. We've also got a northerly meet arranged for April with the Castle combe action day, which is closer for Bristol and Gloucester members than most of the south west....yet just 1 person from that area puts there name down and eveyone else is from much further away.
  5. nope just trick of the light. No arm rest cushions. Standard tweed panels. It does have a 99spec front bumper on it though....but not for long :D
  6. Went to look at this this poor Slicktop today. :( That roof is'nt like that becuase of emergency crew its like that from the crash ! Was it anyone on here or does anyone recognize it ? 99spec front, quad read lights, leather interior Driver/passenger area was amazingly intact.
  7. Hi Dai, I dont seem to be able to PM you. If your still after ticekts can you PM me or email me at david@interwired.co.uk Cheers, David
  8. Was it a bride rail for the 300zx ? Any pics, how much was it ? Seller does'nt appear to be listing anymore of them. Im not happy with the height of my current seats on modified stock rails, so looking for alternatives.
  9. Its much simpler to bleed it without all the extra pipework and the extra bleed valve under the bay. Bleeding the clutch can be a real headache with the standard stuff. It would need to be custom. I had it all written down from when I did mine, but I cant find it now :headvswal Its prob best to take the old pipework with you to get it made up. It does'nt need to be any longer than 1.5meter You want the same stuff they use for Brake lines. High pressure stuff.
  10. Everyone will now have received a PM with the Payment information.
  11. In Regards to : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=106559 Time to collect payments. As a club we are allocated 12 Free admission passes and we can purchase a Pack of 6 track sessions for a discounted price of £100. Extra admission passes are £8 each and track time is £20 I will use the discounts to bring down the overall price for those that have put their name down. Therefore final prices : Admission - £5 each Track Time - £18.75 each Legrath - 2 admission , 1 track time - PAID BigDavezx - 2 admission - PAID madmarco - 2 admission, 2 track time. - PAID Lisaf - 3 Admission, 3 track time - PAID Paul@SWZ - 2 Admission, 2 track time - PAID Ianl - 1 admission - PAID Red_zed - 1 admission - PAID fastorquer - 2 admission 2 track time - PAID Johnyboy - 2 admission - PAID Zogg - 1 admission - PAID stenorth - 2 admission 2 track time - PAID z32dave - 1 admission - PAID 14 Cars --------- Anyone wanting to add themselves from now on will need to pay the full club price of £8 entrance and £20 track time. Add your name in this thread and/or PM me to arrange. These prices are Advanced club prices, on the day they would be £10 entry and £25 track time. PayPal, Bank Transfer or Cheque. I will PM those who have their name down above with payment details. I really need to pay the event organisers as soon as possible so there is some urgency in getting payments to me !
  12. Rip out all the unnecessary Hydraulic pipe work and and replace with a single piece of braided line straight from the master to the slave. Then just bleed it on the slave cylinder. So much simpler!
  13. I've recently fitted these for somebody else and can confirm they are top notch quality. I will be getting a set for mine.
  14. Nice  yeh, give the suspension time to settle. and yeh they are aftermarket speakers.
  15. It worries me that you had considered it enough to already calculate the fuel costs :nelson:
  16. Your job would of been a lot less as most of the labour for the above quotes is to do with welding and filling up the original holes from removing spoiler, which you dont need done. My bodyshop quoted me £300 to remove spoiler and do all the welding and filling then spray tailgate and to spray and fit 99spec front bumper. But thats a Trade Quote.
  17. Clutch hydraulics is seperate from clutch itself. If the fliud has trapped air it might not be operating the slave cylinder properly to engage the clutch fully.
  18. LOL yes, realised that did'nt read right
  19. You definatly got a fault with with yours then. Possibly a Clutch hydraulic issue. Gear selections should be smooth and effortless.
  20. LMAO
  21. I've not checked but is it a 3 speed Autobox developed just for dragging ? If all you want is to go fast up a 1/4 mile strip then thats fine....I believe your car is built for more than that though
  22. Stick a fastroad autobox back in and lets see it scatter its insides all down the road behind you ;) ...but not before checking out the power loss to the rear wheels on the dyno and its dampened performance on the road  For Mac_1 power perhaps a different Manual box is needed, but not an autobox.
  23. Not been chosen/allocated yet. The 'Pack of 6 sessions for £100', must be used between 9am and 11am. But the remaining ticket times can be selected throughout the rest of the day.
  24. Faults with early boxes are still extremely rare in comparison to Autobox faults. I know that SWZ has scrapped over 20 autoboxes last year, but just 1 Manual box with a fault(and its still drivable, just noisy 4th gear syncro crunch)
  25. Manuals are quicker, much more responsive and a hell of a lot more reliable. Fact Not to mention far more fun and involving...oh and more desirable..and worth more.... An Auto 300zx feels like a lazy Cruiser in comparison to a Manual 300zx. I have owned an Auto 300zx and driven dozens and dozens of them, including 'Fastroad' box fitted. I've also driven many before and after Manual conversions.....and its an incredible transformation! Auto's are great for.......converting to manual  Marcus, bring her around one day. I'll let you know wether there is something(s) wrong. and Adjust your dumpvalves so they only go off above a certain PSI.
