  1. Take a look, but they are probably fine, they are very thin anyway but they rarely ever need changing...depends if you do handbrake skids with it or not LOL
  2. Another great example of the difference offset can make for future reference ...borrowed from MclarenF1kid on 3zc: Before 18x9 Front +38 offset 18x10 Rear +38 offset After 18x9 Front +18 offset (with some arch rolling) 18x10 Rear +38 offset Sexy Works XD9 alloys and lowered on coilovers
  3. Yep thats safety mode becuase of the code34. It will be running reduced boost, retarded timing and the safety fuel maps. Power will be considerably reduced and fuel consumption will be higher. Can you see the break in the wires or have you done a continuity test with a multimeter ?
  4. Just be carefull with insurance though, they could try and write it off! I know a couple of Zed owners who had very minor accidents (when I say minor I mean things like paint damage to a bumper and maybe a cracked foglight or bent exhaust tip...and thats it! ) but insurers wanted to write the cars off.
  5. If its drivetrain related you should feel the vibration through the car itself (like the seat and floor) rather than through the steering wheel. You can normally tell if its the bearing before you remove it, the propshaft will be sagging in the middle of the bearing and it might be torn. If its not the bearing it could be the Rear gearbox mount, its worth changing wether or not the prop bearing is damaged as its often the sagging of the rear gearbox mount that damages the prop bearing. Notchy Prop UJ's are another possible culprit , as well as the actual diff itself (although very rare, and usually noisy too) No need to press fit them, not that sort of bearing. Might need to knock the old one off with a vice and hammer if its stuck but thats it. Drop Exhaust. Remove heatshield (if it still there) Mark the two halves of the prop with a white market/tipex so you know which way they should line up again afterwards. Undo the 4 17mm holding the Two prop halfs together Undo the 2 17mm Bolts holding propshaft to the car Pull the front end of prop out of gearbox Undo large nut on end of prop Pull of Bearing Slip new bearing on and put it all back together Make sure you put the spacers back in the same way they came out where the bearing carrier mounts to the car, and that you line the two halves of the prop back up together in same place.
  6. ^^^ Some wise words. A car that can stop and corner better will be faster and a lot more enjoyable than one that just has lots of power. Attend to the Brakes and suspension before or at least at the same time as a monster rebuild.
  7. You can virtually fit anything onto anything within reason. John Dixon has made and sold adaptor plates to fit the Stock gearbox onto the vh45de, its just a matter of making a different adaptor for a different gearbox.
  8. Sh*t, sorry to hear Murt :( Thats proper sucks. I would'nt trust leaving a Zed anywhere where its not secure and/or within eyesight.
  9. Nissan dealer or MJP for OEM Parts.
  10. Im not generally a Red Fan, but I do love a Nice Candy Red. _CJ_ ' s :
  11. 1) Paul@SWZ 2) Legrath 3) Bazzaslicky 4) Jimmer 5) Dazzer21 Attending but Not running zx racer
  12. There really not very interesting to look at lol They are Mig welding tips.
  13. Yep, what Andy says, its most likely the Regulator Relay and giving it a few knocks can solve problem until you can get a replacement. They suffer with dry solder joints.
  14. They are different. Internals are different as is the Bellhousing (Thinner in places on the TT to accommodate the different flywheel & clutch).
  15. I'd disagree with that. It can be cheaper to get 400-450 flywheel HP because some of the stock parts dont need upgrading (Injectors, turbos) , but once you get into high HP like 450 RWHP up then there isn't really much differences in cost. There is however a lot more Skyline and Supra owners willing/able to spend the money needed.
  16. Mot not an issue (they dont know that).....I very much doubt the driver would care or pay any attention to the tax ? but yes, as I said, they definatly do normally !
  17. Yes they should ! SWZ used to get customers bringing their car to them that way all the time! Just tell them that the car needs a specialist garage and that Zedworld are the garage that do all the work on your car and you wont let anyone else touch it.
  18. The UAS car. Top stuff. SPL (in the U.S) and UAS (in Australia) are doing some fantastic research and development on Suspension and Aerodynamics for the 300zx that is showing great results on and off the track.
  19. You take out the Speedo unit and fit in yours. Trouble with that is that you dont get the benefit OIl pressure and Boost gauges in PSi. Getting the same series clocks as your own is preferable but not essential.
  20. After about 450-500hp those that dont go for a MAP setup go for a Twin MAf setup instead
  21. I'd love a 99 slicktop. The Revised chassis Stiffening. Newer, low mileage. Updated bits on it as standard. Rare. But I'd still rather have a nice series 2/3 Slicktop like my own and spend the difference in price on the car.
