  1. This is Paul's vert from last year on the mentioned lowering springs, I will find out what they are to avoid them ! (ignore the rest of car LOL , it does'nt look anything like that anymore thankfully !)
  2. Not sure on price, the springs are manufactured by Eibach, but use an adjustble collar that mounts to the stock or stock style (kyb, koni..etc) struts. More popular in the states and said to offer very good ride. Mclarenf1 kid is running them.
  3. You do have to be carefull with springs that drop low though, as the only way for the manufacturs to stop them hitting the bumpstops becuase of the reduced suspension travel is for them to stiffen up the spring rate. I reckon the Ground Control coilovers springs would be a good setup for you if you did'nt want to go for a full coilover setup.
  4. that all springs for the Z32 are the same height ? Definatly not true ! I'l find out the springs paul has on his vert...its very low, too low and horribly bouncy. He's taking them off, I thought they were AVO but I may be wrong.
  5. Thats aftermarket, probably for rear fog light.
  6. He spent most of the time he owned it trying to source a complete new interior for it (dash, door panels, roof lining..etc). He said it was a right mess.
  7. Its just tack welded in 2 places, you just need to pry it off with a screwdriver. Easy to do.
  8. Cool  They were doing a pack of different car sponges a while back with a picture of a zed on the front too....I bought 10 packs lol
  9. no take it off. The 4x 10mm nuts andy mentioned remove the entire thing - Fan and viscous part. Then put the nuts back on to hold the pulley on.
  10. Where from Andy ?
  11. I've assisted SWZ with quite a number of Manual conversions, and the response from the owners after the conversion is always the same. They are always surprised at how much of a difference it makes - How much quicker and responsive it is and how they wish they had done it earlier ! One of the benefits of doing the conversion when your autobox is fine is that you can sell the autobox to recoup some of the conversion costs.
  12. This will prob answer it http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=104829
  13. Dipped Beam is H3 for UK. Main Beam is H1
  14. The three biggest factors for insurance quotes is the Vehicle, Your age and your NCB/Claim history. So not really possible to say wether a quote is reasonable without all the info. Does seem like a good price though when you consider the agreed value and all the mods.
  15. Sshhhh !!! Sarah does'nt know about the one on the right !!! :x:
  16. Must admit white is definatly growing on me. Never used to be a big fan of Zed's in white but thats changes - a very clean White Z32 can look stunning Nismokids on 3zc is sex
  17. Yes, there has been much discussing on SPL's remarks but everyone else who has them refutes the statement....In my opinion its not that SPL are wrong though, its all about the relationship with the rest of your suspension setup. The SPL track car runs horrendously high Spring and damper rates for the track and such spring rates would not necessitate the need for stiffer ARB's. Any one with a more "road" suitable setup would see big gains from stiffer ARB's Aftermarket ARB's are adjustable so you can dial in the understeer/oversteer you prefer.
  18. The rear seats are completely different though !
  19. The Problem is the same for both UK and Jap, and yep as said you can just earth the HID kit which will stop the dipped beam going out when you flash high beam. That does mean that both dipped and high beam will flash when the lights are switched off though, but there is a more complicated rewiring method involving a relay if you want to prevent that also.
  20. Thats just the sort Paul loves buying ! LOL
  21. Doh ! ^^^ Above post by paul was from me using his PC. Anyway..chinese whispers....one person says something negative, everyone else copies it but exaggetes it each time. overweight......No heavier than other comparable cars - Skyline, Supra, 911, M3 ..etc Infact some z32 models are quite a bit lighter than those !. Unreliable........Exaggerated, but stems from problem described by Markzx...owners who cant afford to maintain them properly, and just sell them on in poor states of maintenance and condition. Despite this in comparison most other 16yr+ old cars are long gone to scrap heaven. Difficult to work on, have to take engine out for everything.........Exaggerated by people who dont know better. Yes you have to pull engine to remove tubs, and its a tight engine bay....but there are much worse vehicles out there to work on ! The fact that its the first of its breed, and therefore the oldest doesn't help. Even although it did'nt end production till 2000, many see it as a much older car than its competition.
  22. Now im not sure which to fit - A UK Rear bar or the Whiteline Rear bar. 27mm Hollow 2KG or 22mm Solid 4.2 KG The whiteline rear is'nt adjusable (only the whiteline front bar is).
  23. if he has'nt paid postage then he has to either pay you the postage or collect in person. Just put that as a response the paypal claim. Up to him them. £20 sounds too cheap though for posting, will weigh around 50kg for 4 wheels and would be a large parcel.
