  1. I just unlocked the wifes new phone with these people : http://kingmobilephone.com/shop/
  2. Sorry to hear Lisa, you've done a good job, thanks. Has anybody shown interest in taking over yet ?
  3. There are quite a few pas pipes, you will need to find out which one is leaking and order it from MJP or Nissan. (MJP will be cheaper and will not only know what a 300zx is but will know the exact part you require..unlike Nissan) They are high pressure lines and require the correct hose with fittings, you cant just use universal pipe.

Nissan dealer is the cheapest for the perspex strip and collecting yourself means no worrys about courier damage.
  5. Nothing wrong with Hoodies, in fact im wearing one right now. Although I hate clothes with car emblems on.
  6. Yeh, Many track day regulars do this, and just drain the extra back out when your done.
  7. If reliablity/problems is the issue then the TVR would be the wrong move
  8. My bet would be the earth wiring to the horns from the fuse box. I had a similar problem with mine and ended up rewiring it from the Pin of the relay to each of the horns.
  9. Have a good time 2morrow. Take pics
  10. I dont know the dimensions SI, but I do know that its slightly larger than DIN height and 3/4 DIN width. Its the biggest EBC available I believe.
  11. Slotted discs do very little to help with brake fade. They do help reduce pad glazing and keep heat gases away though, but in the grand scheme the affect of slotted discs on brake fade is negligible. Aside from going larger (which really is the best cure, since a greater surface means better heat disipation) , another popular option is brake cooling ducts - Ducting to force cool air on the discs surface at speed. The Series 2 300zx has air guides attached to the Tension rods to help with brake cooling. Other improvements include Race pads (handle higher temps better at the sacrifice of cold braking), 2 piece/floating discs using Alumiunim hats and discs with improved venting veins. There are other misconceptions about brake fade such as a mushy pedal. When the pedal goes soft and mushy that is Boiled brake fluid, not brake fade and the fluid needs to be replaced. When the pedal retains its usual firmness but the braking detoriates, that's brake fade.
  12. Yep, Bigger brakes do not mean shorter stopping distances. The optimum braking force is the point just before the tyres lock up on the road. Larger brakes (and stiffer calipers) can reach the tyre lock up quicker which can potentially help reduce braking distance but its primarily the tyre friction that affects braking distance. If the brakes are powerful enough to lock the tyres up then they are capable of stopping a car just as quickly as Bigger brakes. Larger brakes will feel like they offer far superior braking, because the pedal feels firmer and will require less pedal force for the same braking affect. So they feel more responsive and instant. Not to mention that most people are replacing tired 15yr stock brakes with new brakes and new fluid at the same time. Its the resistance to Brake fade and fluid overheating that Larger brakes are designed for. Sustained repetitive braking from high speed will cause brake fade and/or boil the brake fluid in a very short time with stock sized brakes. Also, Big brakes kit come into play as you increase tyre friction (with aero and tyre friction(slicks) improvements. More friction means more room for Brake torque to come into play. When moving to Larger brakes and wanting to retain correct ABS operation then you need to ensure the brake setup retains the same overall torque and pressure ratios as the stock system. Front and back - Brake bias is very important also. Stoptech are well documentated in there development for this, and have published quite a few white papers on big brake kit principals. I believe the GTR setup is ok with ABS, and there may be other kits out there that do the job fine...wether that's through design or through luck I don't know.
  13. Autoboxes seem to fetch around £300, although have seen them as cheap as £150. Labour to fit about £200 (if you dont already have an uprated Autobox oil cooler then budget an extra £100-£150 for one on top, it may save you from having to fit another autobox 6 months later.) Manual conversion kit is typically around £700, although seen them for as cheap as £500. Labour to convert around £500. One thing to consider is that a Manual car is typically worth £500-£1000 more than a similar spec Auto. If you have the space/tools/time and moderate mechanical skills than neither job is too big to undertake yourself with the help of a friend when it comes to the heavy lifting parts. Personally for me a Manual conversion would be the first thing I would do If I'd ended up with an Auto. The performance difference is very noticable and sooo much more fun to drive.
  14. I dont think they are chrome , the pic just has too contrast/white balance
  15. thats not a slicktop, says he has a slicktop for sale as well though. Looks like a nice example.
  16. Yep, had a long session on those in Ammersfoort (netherlands) once....now that was a hangover ! I dont remember the percentages but the Belgium white beers can be very strong.
  17. Dont forget "Jubilee clips" is a brand name. There is a big difference in quality (and price) between Genuine SS Jubilee clips and the rest.
  18. They Love the Z there. People putting thumbs up as we drove past and even had people walking into the road in front of us so they could stop us for pics!
  19. Thats an extremely shocking and emotional bit of footage. Its not a speeding video, its a road safety video. and as for the dog thing...that's natural instincts unfortunately to swerve, you react before your can put your brain into gear.
  20. Why would you want to use the original controllers though ? The Instruments come free with the game dont they ?
  21. Welcome
  22. Make sure you get the correct size/fitment - 068 or 088 Otherwise the battery will be too small/large for the battery tray and terminals will be wrong way around.
  23. Just connect the feed from booster bump to the 12v output on the Turbo Timer that the ignition feed is also connected to.
