  1. The Vast majority are cracked, if it looks like its getting so bad that the blades may split then seek replacement.
  2. They contract under vacumn and expand under boost. Get some Polished Hardpipes or keep the stock ones. btw - Fast2cool are just a reseller of chinese products that are copies of other brands. They are not the Manufacturer. Most notably they sell the Megan downpipes which many have, and do have mixed reviews in regards to fitment.
  3. Tidy looking example
  4. Not really LOL but they do look very nice
  5. No, Cruize wheels are not lightweight, designs are ok though. You can find them on ebay and http://www.dp-motorsport.co.uk Foose is a designer and american LOL So he'll be talking looks and not drivablity/handling. Speedo wont be affected too much by 19's as long as you fit the correct profile tyres. Camber is not changed for wheel size.
  6. Good choice :D
  7. Yay, Thats a decent figure. :) Normally takes a lot of haggling to get close to what a car is worth with Insurers..
  8. They are Work Equip wheels Offset it dependent on width. If they are 8.5" fronts then offset is probably about 22. If they are 9.5" rears then offset would be about 35 (possibly closer to 30 with some arch rolling).
  9. You'll need to temporarily bypass it by looping the inlet and outlet hoses at the back of the engine that go through the bulkhead together with a piece of hose.
  10. The higher the frequency the more directional it is. So tweeters need to be pointed at you whereas Subs can go in the boot. You could get yourself some seperate Tweeter and crossovers and connect them up to your existings front speakers, then only direct mid-tone ranges to your fronts and the highs to the tweeters. They may take some extra adjustment to get them to sound right as they wont be matched, so the tweeters could be under/overpowered for the mids. Or you could replace them with a complete set of components to ensure a simple match. I have flush mounted tweeters in mine with the crossovers hidden behind the door panel - loads of room.
  11. If you have problems with the widearch (a lot of trailers do), then just fit your space saver on one side.
  12. I used to take Wife, 2 kids, luggage and my Golden retriever all in my 2+2 zed for weekend trips to cornwall.
  13. Even although the Almera is quicker the 156 is more the drivers car, better looking, nicer interior and more modern. If your not getting on with the Alfa then definatly worth a good test drive in the Almera to see if its your thing or not, price seems very reasonable.
  14. I agree, if the rears were a bit more subtle like the fronts then that would work nicely. But they just stick out too much. A lot of work has gone into thoe arches, especially the fronts where the bumper has been extensively modified for it to work with the arch, shame the rears just look out of place.
  15. Frigging hell jimmy....lucky to see you here today ! for me it would prob have to be my 1st car - an orangy red Mk3 Escort 1.3 which for some reason I fitted the carb of a 1.6 onto and it used to spit flames out the airbox.....until I blew the engine up.
  16. I dont dislike them, but I do agree that they are not at all attractive, the interior is very dire and they are very overhyped. The R34 is an improvement.
  17. They are not ripping anyone off, they are simply overpriced. How much they pay for it does'nt really come into it. Its anyones choice where they buy from, it would only be a rip-off if they had control of the market and you were forced to buy from them.
  18. If car was originally an Auto and has been converted to Manual but the neutral pin at ECU was not grounded when this was done then Conzult will show as 25 instead of 15.....although timing will still be 15. If the gun reading is incorrect then is it connected right ? ... From another thread (trigger and non trigger type explained) - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=1016935&postcount=4
  19. Old shape Focus vs Mk4 Golf - I would take the Focus. More entertaining to drive, and you'll get a better spec/conditon/mileage car car for the money, compared to the Golf. Focus was voted Car of the year by many when launched, including Top gear. (New Shape Focus vs Mk5 Golf - I would take the Golf)
  20. Same for me with my previous TT, mid-high 70's (stock cooling system)
  21. nah...Im sure his pseudo would of been ima nob
  22. lol there were some zed versions of these posted here a while back
  23. About a Tenner from MJP, but you should get the 2 pipes at a minimum that they connect to, as they are usually brittle and will break when removed.
  24. I bet you could do an Oil and plug service quicker on the Z than he can on a Scooby though ;) Boxer engine is a pita. Its true that a lot of mechanics are scared of the Z though.
