  1. unplug autobox ecu. its the one next to the Main engine ECU in Passenger footwell.
  2. Your right about FMIC blocking more air to the radiator and engine, however to my knowledge nobody has ever actually reported that this has caused any temperature problems. They are more complicated to fit, requiring fitting of new pipework and usually modifications to the Bumper support bar and bumper itself. You will also need to relocate engine oil cooler. They can suffer with larger pressure drops depending on the size and design. SMIC's retain the improved airflow to the radiators and engine. They do not require a new bumper to fit. The stock undershields has ducts at the bottom for airflow to exit, some add extra ducting in the wheelarches, although airflow pressure may negate that method. I guess the disadvantage is that as they are hidden so you cant show them off sticking out the front of your bumper like a fmic. Performance differences, none really..providing both are of adequate size and quality you wont benefit from fitting one over the other in terms of maximum cooling. The most powerfull car in this club is running aftermarket SMIC's
  3. Thats the Dutch DTA site you have been on. Danny runs the UK side of the business but Im not sure he has his main UK site finished, you can check his other site - http://www.smithys-place.co.uk which has the the tension rods and brake parts on or PM Danny@DTA or ask a question in the DTA traders section - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=39
  4. If you remove them your going to have to bleed the brakes. You'll be able to paint them with them still fitted. Use proper caliper paint.
  5. Those skirts look pretty good completely blended :
  6. I prefer the new location of the sidelights too, they look better wide apart :D
  7. Looks great, the stock Fogs do look dated and the ducts look great. I've done the same to mine, including moving the sidelights to the indicators.
  8. Absolutely love that colour, it oozes quality. Cant wait to see it with the wheels and final bits of trim fitted.
  9. How many Admission and how many track sessions do you want Rich ?

yes, thats correct. Nissan launched the new models as ZX to suggest the new line up was more prestige than previous models.
  11. Yes, and get the Nismo version, Its an improved design that resolves the OEM sagging flaw.
  12. Probably not we wont have enough cars to take up an entire session on our own
  13. Type venom injectors into the forum search box ;) Lots of previous threads about them here. Very bad reputation with inconsistent flow ratings and leaking.
  14. Change your sig to this : and it will be like this (Clickable picture and link below it) : My Ride

Look way overpriced to me. Not looked at Sx's recently but a friend got a tidy s14 not long ago for £1200, and seen nice 1998 S14a's go for £2.5k - £3k

No, there is no relation with number of seats and the 'x' as the 260z was the first to be made available as a 2+2, with no 'x'
  21. I'd suspect worn bottom end bearings for low oil pressure rather than the pump
  22. I have no concerns about the bolts I fitted. 12.9 Tensile steel. It was'nt so much about cost but availability at the time, but its true that £80 for a set of bolts is daylight robbery. Every part fitted to my car is either genuine or better, and since the car has been rebuilt by me from a bare shell pretty much every single bolt, nut and washer has been replaced on the entire car.
  23. LOVING that colour. Car looks amazing !!! Dont think much of your alloys though :p
  24. Xr2i or the Fiesta RS , dont remember which, not a ford fan.
  25. LOL Getting OLD and SLOW there mate ! ;)
