  1. Congratulations on the New venture Mark. Wish you all the best.
  2. Providing you're ok with Used then there is nothing rare about a 2nd hand aircon rad, there is always half a dozen Z's being broken at any one time. Just put a thread up in the wanted section with an appropriate title, or contact any of the number of ebay sellers advertising breakers.
  3. Got a friend who uses these, and it seems to be working for him. Gets some funny looks when he uses it indoors though.

  5. Saw it last night. Pretty good, longest fight scene EVER. Some stupid parts.....but probably traditional to the superman theme.......like how nobody recognises him. Not as good as Batman, Avengers, Ironman imo.
  6. I use the cruise control in my Bmw for the majority of my daily commute, every single day. It was the one of the first things I binned in the Z though.
  7. 100% MAF. Do you have an aftermarket bumper or vented nose panel, with an Induction cone filter. Its not normally a problem with the stock front bumper as there is a splash guard incorporated into it that sits above the bottom vent, just underneath the MAF. (This is different to the standard undertray gaurds, that should also be fitted). But when fitting aftermarket bumpers it gets removed. I would suggest knocking up a new one. Its an approx A4 paper size plastic guard that sits horizontally just below the MAF.
  8. Tyre profile is a percentage of tyre width. So a narrower tyre needs a taller profile to keep the same overall diameter as a wider tyre. You aim to keep the same overall diameter as stock to not affect vehicle gearing, and subsequent speedometer accuracy.
  9. oh I didnt say it was modern looking, it definitely looks like a 90's car.......just more modern looking than the Z, due to its curved design. Thats not necessarily a better thing though, especially as older cars are becoming more and more popular. That being said, many clean Z's with tasteful exterior mods can very easily surprise people with their actual age.
  10. Guess what Supra owners say about the 300zx though......"Dated Exterior and terrible interior". Its certainly the more popular choice and commands a higher price. Personally I would say the Supra is a more modern looking sports car, I've always preferred the rear to the front, but colour and exterior mods play a big part to how both cars look. On Paper they are VERY similar cars. Near identical spec and performance. They are definitely the 2 closest rivals of all the Jap RWD Powerful Sports cars. Its well known that Toyota went back to drawing board with the MkIV Supra when Nissan launched the 300zx, and in some areas it shows. Its a better built car, feels nice and solid, quieter, smoother and the straight six turbo sounds great. I don't feel its as much of a drivers car though. Its just as capable on the road as the Z, but It feels larger and heavier behind the wheel and I never have the same confidence to chuck it around a roundabout that I do in a 300zx. I prefer the Z Interior and I feel the Z has more character. Very similar cars, but really comes down to which one you personally prefer.
  11. They are all AR48 Inlet. You need to check the exhaust housing for : 0.63 for manual, 0.54 for auto
  12. Yeah, Im getting it to on http://www.zedworld.co.uk
  13. That price is cheaper than I Imagined for somebody to do. Since about half my car needs respraying anyway I had contemplated doing it, but I dont like the matt look. You can do it with a special gloss lacquer too though. Yeah, check out the dipyourcar.com videos on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/DipYourCarcom/videos. They have loads of them and it shows the entire process in various colours and styles (matt, glosss ...etc) and they answer a lot of questions people tend to have on plastdipping.
  14. Its missing the thicker reinforced section that should be there. Just putting a nut behind the thin sheet metal would be risky. The fia harness mounting plates are basically just steel plate with a welded on nut, but it allows the load to be spread better. You just need to cut down the sides enough for it to fit inside the panel. (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Harness-eye-bolt-backing-plate-FIA-approved-/260981211348?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cc3b140d4)
  15. I have done this. (its not strictly a jap to uk thing...all Japs after 92 had seatbelts on the Pillars). Lower anchor point should be there, behind carpet. Upper point is the problem, You need to weld in a threaded plate behind it. I used a FIA regulation harness mounting plate that I cut down to fit inside the narrow b-pillar space.
  16. Thanks guys :)
  17. Only difference is between LWB and SWB (which are very different in design, fitment and location).
  18. Joel is asking about wheel width, rather than tyre width. The wheel width will determine the range of tyre widths to fit, and the tyre width will determine the appropriate tyre profile required. The wheel width and the wheel offset together will determine how well the wheel will fit in the arch, and in combination with the tyre width chosen will determine if arch rubbing will be an issue.
  19. Yeah, I'd love to see some professional looking redesigns done for our pods. They are looking dated and a little "cheap" these days. All attempts I've seen done by others have been tacky and non-oe looking.
  20. They have steering lock spacers built into the inner tie rod to increase steering lock. Its the round part between the square end and the thread. The spacers effectively allow the rack to move further before it hits the stops.
  21. (Stolen from "Z People" Facebook page.)
