  1. You can search for wheels for Supra, RX7, Skyline, 200sx (s14-s15), GTO, 350z ..etc for the correct PCD fitment, although the offsets are all different so may need spacers, and hubcentric rings.
  2. Yep, was just about to say the same. Its a LHD US market Z with the image flipped. You see a few on the U.S Site, I've posted pictures of it here a few times. It was never an option in the U.S or Europe....it seems we have far better taste.
  3. That list is no good. It gets posted up every time there is weight discussion and somebody even went to the trouble of converting it all to KG's once, but the numbers are mostly bullshit. Whoever originally wrote that list about 10yrs ago simply guessed the numbers. I can tell this from the difference in numbers I have from weighting my own parts.
  4. Congratz and Good luck guys !
  5. Do you have a link, or know which Brand and model you are using ?
  6. Your cage must have added good 35kg-40kg ? .5kg Battery !? Do tell ? I was pleased with my 6kg drycell
  7. Happy Birthday Bird ! ..but the reason you don't have a Birthday Thread already is because you didn't set your birthday in your profile ! :stupid:
  8. You all have my full respect for what you are doing, both cars are incredible. The effort and cost just to attend a single session can be overwhelming, and its fantastic to see the Z making its mark within motorsport in the UK. I would of loved to have offered any help I could to join you guys track-side this season, but I haven't been in a position to do so.
  9. I've yet to get mine on the scales, however I did document every item removed/replaced during my build, and I should be looking at around 1350kg for my TT Slicktop Manual with Full glass and interior (except bucket seats). Thats approx 250kg lighter than your typical Z (LWB TT)
  10. Very Impressive Pete. 30kg like for like. Might not sound that much, but its a weight loss at the highest point of the car, plus the Slicktop shell has better torsional rigidity. A Base model slicktop is around 50kg lighter than a Regular SWB as items like Electric seat and ABS were options rather than standard fit.
  11. Congrats Dave ! :thumbup1:
  12. Replace existing sub with a stealth box.
  13. There is a simple mod you can make to the seats, Nicknamed a "Foamectomy" that lowers your seating postion considerably. How tall are you ? Im 6ft2" and had no issues in my mk1 Mx5 with the mod done. Super reliable, lots of fun, dirt cheap to buy, run, maintain and upgrade. With your budget you would have a lot of money left over though. The one to buy is the Mk1, and no reason to pay much more than £1200 for one..unless you buy a Turbocharged one, which is a common upgrade.....then its more like £2-2.5k
  14. Yep, definatly MJP for any OEM parts (and I would highly reccomend sticking with OEM for the Waterpump). It's about £70 + vat
  15. There are 2 types - 1 is more of a blue velour, the other a grey suede, however both versions are often referred to as alcantara or suede.
  16. TT Stock Kerb Weights (Manual): Slicktop - 1510 kg SWB - 1540 kg LWB - 1590 kg NA Stock Kerb Weights (Manual) Slicktop - 1430kg SWB - 1460 kg LWB - 1510 kg Auto is approx 15kg heavier than Manual Weight will differ for UK/Jspec (oil coolers..etc) and depending on spec (elec seats..etc). ie. Basic spec TT Slicktop without Electric seat option is 1490kg.
  17. TT Stock Kerb Weights (Manual): Slicktop - 1510 kg SWB - 1540 kg LWB - 1590 kg NA Stock Kerb Weights (Manual) Slicktop - 1430kg SWB - 1460 kg LWB - 1510 kg Auto is approx 15kg heavier than Manual Weight will differ for UK/Jspec (oil coolers..etc) and depending on spec (elec seats..etc). ie. 18. I love Chris Harris's Drive videos, and that is one of the best. Brilliant.
  19. Hi, Yeah, I am using a Lightweight drycell battery which is about a 1/3 of the size of the stock battery, and its fitted behind the rear trim. I dont have any pics unfortunately. Im using a jump start point in the engine bay, which I think was from a Ford transit, then the 2AWG cable is rooted in next to the loom to behind the glovebox, then along the floor to the boot. The earth goes from the battery to a point nearby in the boot floor.
  20. I dont know how I missed this thread before, but I've just read through it all. My thoughts are with you and your family, but its impressive how strong you have been through this all. Glad things are starting to improve for you, you deserve a fair share of good luck now ! Get well soon. :thumbup1:
