  1. Do I think a 300zx a Supercar - No but...There is no strict rule on what makes a supercar, one mans supercar is another mans Sports or GT car. The term Supercar is just a media invented term anyway, and the 300zx was denoted by a lot of Media as "Japan's first supercar" when it was launched.
  2. Zcenter is £382 + VAT + Shipping = £472.80 !! You can definitely find them cheaper elsewhere. MJP or import from U.S
  3. Any car pre-1990 could be considered rare these days, even a lot of early 90's stuff.
  4. It sounds good. Z1's own take on the RPS, that fits somewhere inbetween the the Sport Street and Max street. No personal experience with it, might be worth checking for reviews on the U.S Z site.
  5. Yep, thats the purpose of the RPS Street range. They do a lesser version too designed for stock turbo cars with increased boost , called the " Sport Street" that I have driven in several other Z's and that feels exactly like stock, with stock like pedal weight. Then they have the usual Puck versions, designed for track and drag use that are a pain to use on the road but good for competition use.
  6. This is why the RPS Street Max has been so recommended over the years, its probably the most popular aftermarket clutch in the Z. It feels like stock, but a little heavier. Very progressive, No On/off action like a paddle clutch.
  7. Thats very low. There was a for sale advert for one on something like 11k once, but it was bascially a dry stored showroom car. My Slicktop is on 34k miles, and I have been doing an amazing job of keeping it low for the past few years. Although in reality only the shell is original, everything else has been replaced during its rebuild.
  8. I have the RPS Street Max too. (make sure its the Max version, for your power output) . Its heavier than stock but because its a full face clutch its still very suited for everyday use. Not sure anyone in the UK will stock though, would have to be a U.S import. (Z1)
  9. Dave.... NO! :censored:
  10. Damn. Close call. Very lucky.
  11. Aftermarket Pedalbox Master cylinder Reservoirs. Red pipes are the brake/clutch lines.
  12. The slicktop is tighter, but the difference between the SWB targa and LWB targa is noticeable. The SWB is more nimble on its feet, the LWB feels lazier. With the shorter wheelbase you can feel less flex in the chassis, it reacts and turns quicker. When I get out of a SWB and into a LWB I feel like the rear end is just wobbling around behind me. The lower weight allows it to accelerate, turn and brake quicker. You also get less rattles and creaks in the interior. The slicktop just exaggerates these differences a little further. The SWB is more of a sports car, where the LWB is a GT. Thats not to say the LWB does'nt make a good sports car, or the SWB a good GT though.
  13. lol yeah, its all about what you are used to. I was always happy with the LWB looks till I became more used to the SWB, and now it looks long and thin to me, but most LWB owners will say the opposite. But most of the best looking Z pictures out there, posted up by LWB owners on this site are of SWB's. Mostly becauase most of the pics come from the U.S where the TT was only available as a SWB. The driving differences are more noticeable than the visual differences though.
  14. Depends whats you want from the car. If you need the rear seats for children then the LWB is a good choice, if you don't then go for the SWB. Looks our subjective, personally I prefer the SWB looks. When you are used to the SWB, the LWB looks stretched and gangley, but anyone used to the LWB will say the SWB looks too short and stumpy. (...and the rest cant tell the difference. especially non Z owners). Its all about what you are used to. Most of the best looking Z's in the world are SWB though. You dont choose one just for looks though, the Z is about driving, and I personally would never go back to a LWB. LWB's are plentiful though, so it is easier to find one in the spec/colour you might want, than it is a SWB in this country.
  15. I expect he just used the Nissan FAST system. I dont seem to have it installed anymore, but a lot of members used to have it.
  16. The red was U.S only, and with the OEM red the entire interior is red, inc all the plastics, carpets, roof lining..etc. This will be aftermarket, as you can see black interior plastics, but a red back seat. Its probably torn to pieces with all the scrap they have piled in it :(
  17. Personally I prefer the Ducts. I find the fogs a bit dated looking. Move the side lights to the indicator housing.
  18. Rota Drifts suit the Z but they are cheap replicas that everybody has. i would go with the Veilside Andrews if you can work with their fitment. If those offsets really are negative then the fronts are going to protude out an extra 55mm from the arches, and the rears are going to extend by 80mm. You will need to fit those arch extensions and cut away the original arches. Even then you may need stretched tyres and some excessive camber. If those offsets are meant to be positive then it wont be as bad as that and you could get away without any serious arch-work.
  19. Welcome to the Club. I recognise your Z, perhaps from Facebook.
  20. I dont think they are flat pieces. Im presuming they are contoured to the curve of the window, and you might struggle to get 3mm perspex to do the same on fitting.
  21. Thanks. Looking at 1yr rolling contracts at the moment. Have a friend in the area who I may end up renting a house with, which should keep costs down.
  22. Didnt this belong to Ceejay originally ?
  23. Hey. I was wondering if any of you have experience of working away from your family permanently/long-term ? I have been unsuccessful in looking for work in my chosen industry/profession in the area I live so have been looking for work further afield, about 2.5 hours a way. The idea being that I will rent a place near work and stay there Mon-Fri, and come home at the weekends. I'm Married with 2 daughters, relocation for the family is not really an option currently (Wife is doing well at work, and kids in school ..etc) and this is not something I have done before, so looking to see if anyone else has experience of working away from their family.....any advice or thoughts you can give on the subject ?
  24. A single gust of wind took down one of our 6ft fence panels this morning, snapped the post in two. Its been calm ever since.
