  1. Have the fuel pressure checked. Very easy to do with a Fuel pressure gauge. Fuel pressure problems will point to either the Fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump. It should be 43.4psi at idle, and raise for 1psi per every 1psi of boost your running.
  2. I think I used around 2-3 rolls which weighed a couple of kilo's each
  3. I dyamatted my boot floor and the area under the rear seats..etc on my first Z , but never noticed any difference in road noise..etc I think dynamatting the doors would make the most difference as they do lack that solid feel of some other cars. I know a few members have done this, inc Funkysi so be interesting to hear their feedback. Bassologist not been on here in a year.
  4. Welcome The SWB's are Import only. Most Z's are 91-92 , and they produced less for each year until end of production (1989-2000). There are later models out there, its just harder to find them. The SWB was available as targa or Slicktop (normal roof). The Slicktop being a lighter and stiffer shell, but without the luxury of a removal roof. The Slicktop is a rare model though with 90% of SWB's being Targa. The buying guide above is a good place to start, I would highly recommend testing several Z's before choosing one. There are a lot of bad examples out there, and there is a big difference in the driving experience of a good, average and bad example. Must be quite a highly modified S13 you have ?
  5. Insurance wise , just tell them you noticed a mistake on the insurance form and that it should be manual instead of Auto, rather than telling them you converted it. Its not something they know already until you tell them what transmission you have when you take out a policy and doesn't affect cost when you take out the insurance. It will affect resale as a Manual TT is worth anything from 500-1000 more than an Auto TT, converted or not doesn't matter. Not sure how many auto>manual conversions I have done and driven, around 30 I would guess, but its one of those jobs, even more so than Boost upgrades, where you always get a call/text/email after from the customer telling you how over the moon they are with the transformation in the car, in particular how quicker, more responsive and fun it is to drive.
  6. Yes, too short, I reckon thats for a SWB. SWB prop is 12cm (4.7") shorter than LWB Prop. I have a Z1 prop, but I have also fitted an AMZ prop to another Z. Neither had spacers, the difference in length was all down to the shaft length and rear U.J differences (TT & NA are different).
  7. Looks great, very tidy. re: prop - No, thats not normal ! my 1piece goes in all the way. I've always wired in the neutral switch either at the gearbox end, or at the relay under the drivers wheelarch lining.
  8. yes, there will only be a negative signal when the engine is turning over. The problem will not be each individual wire to the ECU, so no point rewiring them individually.
  9. Some crazy sh*t out there. Skeletons and the helicopter with shark are fake
  10. you tested for negative signal while trying to start the car ?
  11. Thanks guys, given me a lot to think about. I sat on an SV650 in a showroom a while back, and it felt big, but then it was the first big bike I had sat on and I did notice it was a bit smaller than other bikes around it. I discovered you can get Motorcycle jeans these days, which look like regular jeans but with kevlar built in, anyone got experience with these, are they normal to wear when not on bike ? Thanks mac, sound like it would be good to meet up at some point if I definatly go down this route.
