  1. been here 5yrs (well 6, but that was different account) .....but I dont really post tbh....more of a lurker ;)
  2. In that case, yeh, fit it to where one of the original SMIC's would of been.
  3. Most likely a break in the wiring from the relay to the horns, its gets very brittle. I spent ages trying to solve the same problem on mine and in the end I just ran new wire from the relay in fuse box to the horn and it works now.
  4. Not sure why it would be any cheaper than the same cars sold at any auction?
  5. Thats fine, the marks are on the camshaft sprockets and the crank sprocket, not the actual crank pulley. The marks on the standard crank pulley is for checking timing with CAS adjustments.
  6. the standard mounting position under the nose panel is fine, providing you've not overdone it with any larger than 19row. Thats the size and location Nissan used on the UK models. the other location sometimes used is where the SMIC's would be if you had a FMIC.
  7. Jimmer is in Bristol, about 30mins down the road from ztech
  8. I would'nt go any larger than a 19row 235mm wide oil cooler. Its the same size Nissan fitted for the UK models and market as a Nismo cooler. Any larger and you would start to restrict airflow to the main radiators. As for Intercoolers, larger is'nt always better, however the godspeeds are very good value for money, significantly cheaper than all others and fitment issues dont seem to be a big issue. If you wanted to spend a little more and not havign any fitment issues then the Z1 Smic's are also very good value for money and have a good reputation.
  9. Didn't know you were selling it Al, how much, I've got 5k sitting here I would of paid for it.
  10. It was an "ok" show last night. it was all real, although wont of been done in one single take like it was shown. The stunts would of been staged, and then all edited togther. The slow motion stuff was some excellent cinematography.
  11. No problem, Glad I could help !
  12. Craig Davids is 99/T , and there are others
  13. Really Liking the new look. Kit, paint, wheels - all look fantastic  That looks great Dave, those skirts definatly look best blended, I wouldn't say the same for all skirts though and there are praticle issues with blending skirts.
  14. Thats what I was thinking. Its better than typical mixed driving mpg in a Z, but its not unachievable, and you can get even better mpg than that on a motorway run.
  15. Works out at an effective 29mpg
  16. Its quite common to have to trim the liner a little and/or remove a screw or two. (you may also have the wrong screws fitted which does not sit flush enough with the liner). Should'nt need to actually remove entire liner, I would'nt reccomend it, and its also noticable and looks terrible.
  17. Z1's 99spec/Nismo version is actually cheaper http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=702 (its same as stock, but with red stitching)
  18. http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=703 http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=619&Car_Type=NIS300&UID=20090704152117212.183.134.130 http://www.amzperformance.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_64&products_id=127 Im sure Zcentre used to list it, but cant find now.
  19. A couple of teeth out would affect performance yes. Its not a common problem, but does happen unfortunately.
  20. Dont trust the fuel light, its not accurate in when exactly it comes on each time. Its far better to fill it to the brim, do a certain amount of miles then see how much fuel it takes to fill it to the brim again.
  21. Seen belts out a couple of teeth several times, after they have just had a belt done at another garage, and even after having it done at a Nissan dealer!. Terrible mistake that no garage should make. Nice looking Pearly  Why would you recommend a garage on the other side of the country when he has no problems with the one he is using and is happy with their service
  22. Wow....member of 4 years and your first post  err... Welcome :D lol I believe Ztech would be your closest dedicated Z specialist, but somebody in the sussex area may be able to recommend a closer general Jap specialist with Z experience. I do feel the need to correct you a little on one issue however - Black is the indeed the fastest standard colour , but Blue is the fastest colour when taking into account all possible colours ofcourse ;)
  23. Unnecessary waste of money. Just stick to high octane fuel (V-power, BP Ultimate..etc)
