  1. I think what you meant to say Craig is that an Engine rebuild is too pricey, rather than Jimmer himself (who's prices are very competitive) ? Plonking in a 2nd hand engine is always going to be a cheap option, but what you get is a 15yr+ old Engine out of a scrapper, compared to a Professionally fully rebuilt engine, which is effectively a brand new engine or better than new. Jimmer is a highly regarded engine rebuild specialist, whereas Zedworld does not do that sort of work. At the end of the day though it all comes down to budget. You really want to be phoning these Specialists if your after a quick response, rather than PM'ins/Emaling.
  2. I was in same prediciment...had NA boss, trying to fit to a TT with Hicas removed. If I remember correctly, with mine I think I ended up replacing the Steering hub (the original part on the steering column) with an NA version, so I could use the NA Boss. ..but I cant remember for definate, I know I was messing about with it for ages, looking for a solution, but ti was so long ago now. sorry, not much help.
  3. Agreed, sounds to me like you have a NA boss. The plastic bit on your car would be the Hicas ring.
  4. Any Dot 4 fluid will be perfect. If you intend to use it the track a lot then consider going for the more expensive 5.1 fluids (higher boiling temps), and their are many manufacturers offering their own fluids designed for Racing that meet/exceed 5.1 specs.
  5. Stop rubbing it in Alan, FFS, were already jealous enough
  6. Loads of threads here on Venom injectors, just do a search. Well known to suffer with widely varying flow rates and leaking issues. IMO - Avoid !
  7. With a new headunit you would put the ipod whereever you want (glovebox, centre console), as you use the Headunit controls. But agreed, no point replacing a good headunit, I meant if you were going to buy a new one then and wanted a truly integrated solution.
  8. Price is reasonable I'd say for a late model tidy Z. Ebay is the wrong place to be selling it though.
  9. Yes, new keeper supplement bit is fine.
  10. Welcome :) Think you misread his post Isaac. He said the car he is driving now his half the power of the supra, not a ZX
  11. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=127890 ^^ the other TwinZ Diffuser thread Take a look in the clubs traders forum section for Authorised Traders here. If it turns out that you can't get any Uk dealers then the other option is a Group buy instead ? Response has been great and Im sure we could get enough numbers together for an Initial group buy.
  12. Pentroof + yous as trade-in ? I heard it went for quite a lot more than 10k

Quit moaning ya bunch of whiners :p I waited 4 years for mine LOL Lets not forget that the fee was for club membership, the pack is just a nice little extra the club gives out. I do believe they tend to get processed in batches, as its understandably too expensive to have bits done at the printing company individually.
  14. Not the most expensive Z to be bought/sold in the past couple of years, but the least worthy of the price IMO. It is nice, and deserves a premium price but not that much. At least others of similar price or more had Engine and other work done to justify it.
  15. Looks pretty good and a bargain price. Although pretty much all modern Headunits these days come with ipod connectivity, so the headunit does everything this unit does without having to add any extra devices.
  16. Just remembered he sold it to a guy in Dorset in july last year (for about that price), so I guess the buyer sold it back to him recently. The car is well known here as "Zelda"
  17. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170356824700&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp3907.m38.l1313%26_nkw%3D170356824700%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1 Well known ex-members car, and being sold my ex-forum trader. He paid a lot less for it, has made a few changes to it....been for sale for a long time now (6months+) unless it sold and then they have bought it back.
  18. Welcome :) Normal breathing mods (exhaust and Air filter), 1bar boost and ECU Chip will see it close too 400 on a healthy engine (typically 350-380). Then you can throw in some bolt on goodies such as Lightweigth Pulley, Decats..etc to free up a few more horses and improve response and spoolup. Its getting it above 400 that it starts getting expensive (Bigger tubs, Injectors...etc) Yeh the stock ECU can be remapped. We have quite a few specialists who can supply and fit remapped chip for around 100pounds.
  19. A big improvement IMO , much nicer looking and more aggressive. 350z has never been much of a looker to me. Yeh, they shortened the wheelbase to improve handling....that sounds familiar LOL

Ditch the Electric fan, especially if its a Zcentre one. its not man enough, and even if you fitted a better one they just cause more issues than its worth.
  21. what they like when cold, and do they take much to get up to temp ?
  22. Depends on the Chip, if it still has built in Safety Maps then it will still retard timing and richen the fuel mixture. An EBC will only prevent it from limiting boost. If you dont want to replace it then best to bypass it with a 1MOhm Resistor.
  23. Happy Birthday Zorro :duffer:
  24. Z1's own brand Flywheels are very well priced too.
