  1. Not quite, its adapts what it does depending on Speed and Steering angle. The speed at which it is active differs for UK and Import but is inactive at low speeds. It is a mid and high speed handling aid.
  2. Its true that UK cars were, but but Imports were mapped to run on higher octane fuel. Some are ok, running on Unleaded but you will still notice lower performance, but more importantly some will detonate and go into safety mode with regular unleaded. Even on a stock car that runs fine on Regular Unleaded I would run Higher octane fuel as despite the small extra cost you get more MPG and better performance. If the car is Chipped and running higher boost then its even more important to run Higher octane fuel.
  3. yeh I see the feet, but no plates As well as the feet, you need to plate the floor with 3mm+ thick steel sheets, min of 6"x6". The stock floor is relatively thin sheet metal, in a roll that floor will get severely distorted without reinforced plating and the load properly spread. It actually makes the cage more dangerous than not having one.
  4. I've been taking a break recently
  5. A Helpful Link, thanks Dan. Yes, same octane (99ron) as Vpower. Both very suitable for the Z and both can be hard to find. There are also links to find nearest Vpower Shell stations. Regular unleaded is 95 octane, and Super unleaded is 97 octane. BP Ultimate do a 102 ron version but it is at very vew petrol stations and is very expensive. It does not offer any advantages over Vpower/Tesco99 without custom remapping.
  6. got a link for specs ? Interested to know what gearbox they are running. Bit concerned about that cage, they dont appear to have plated the floor around the front feet. I think it used to be red/orange, got an older pic of it somewhere
  7. Time attack wheels on a Silver Z : Looks great to me. Far better these than the cheap ebay wheels that's a unfortunate trend these days.
  8. Vodafone here. I get about 2 bars of signal but that gives me 100% 3G uptime and it seems to compare to a 2MB Broadband connection.

My Fav is stock without badge, I dislike all others available. If yours is a fibreglass zcentre or similar Uk supplied jobbie then they are only around 40 new.
  10. If its leaking then you have gasses escaping before the turbo, so it would have an affect, but I wouldn't like to guess by how much.
  11. Budget for 22% for Import tax, vat and admin charges on the total cost including delivery charge. Sending as Gift only works below 17pound. If the sender marks the value down as lower than that will reduce the costs but if its gets lost or damaged in delivery then they only pay out the given value.
  12. Yep, if the rear feels like its moving about then you its either the hicas arm joints and/or worn rear shocks.
  13. Yes, my point is you cant rely on anything they say. On one episode they will say something about a car than a few episodes later they will say the complete opposite. Its all about whatever point they are trying to get across for any particular feature.
  14. no, its was in the 300zx Z32 vs 350z feature...stupid thing is it weighs about same as the 350z it was being compared to anyway. We dont know who is driving the 300zx yet though..could even be Hammond, in which case he will be praising it while clarkson slags it off...despite Clarkson listing it as one of his top 100 cars.
  15. ^^^ What Lymon said. M24 is just the Compressor housing, which many Garrett turbos have stamped onto them.
  16. have no idea where they get the rubbish about the alternator from. Have seen that written in old magazine reviews as well. ...and they were not quite correct about the turbo boost gauge. But otherwise a pretty good feature.
  17. Rears look great, looks like a very good light spread. Definalty need some HID's on there, and matching LED sidelights My 6000k HID's with LED Sidelights (relocated) -
  18. damn..missed it....how long was the feature ? Anyone know when its on again, or can it be viewed online ?
  19. 330zx ? Too much of an overbore to get that CC and no mention of a stroker, seems to be completely made up  Nice blue, and looks well done quality wise...but design wise its a mess :( The "snow suede" as he called it, looked quite good. What are the rear quater window vent ducts venting  A definate fail on the "wanting it to look like it was built like that rather than modified"

  21. Who? Jimmer? If you mean Jimmer then Yeh Jimmer is good is Jimmer.
  22. have you driven any classic shape Impreza's before ? I know the RA is the lightweight one with shorter gear ratio's but I'd never be able to get over the nasty plasticky interior and overall cheap driving experience of the Impreza. The EVO is definatly superior and are'nt early models of similar price ? The GT4 is of much higher quality than the both of them and far nicer to drive, feels like a well built Sports car rather than a flimsy hothatch like the impreza.
  23. For a little extra cost I would recommend requesting forged pistons and a cometic head gasket, for that extra strength built in, and makes the overall cost more justifiable. Turbos : http://www.z1motorsports.com/index.php?cPath=6_16&osCsid=ca8b11b3aa2a24c7c957c53d78f7d340
  24. You can forget about just putting in new shells, the crank will be pretty fubbered by now, so would need to be reground or replaced anyway which is a complete engine dismantle. Its best to ask Jimmer whats included but no doubt PCV's would be, its FAR more extensive than just sticking in an old engine with some new serviceable parts on it.
