  1. Spot on. The velocity is calculated using the Doppler shift, so there is no signal sending back and forth to calculate speed. Velocity accuracy is listed on the specs of most GPS Units.
  2. Yeh, they are well known, Im sure they must have space/arrangements for Club dyno's having done many in the past.
  3. There is a delay when accelerating and braking, but at a constant speed they are very accurate. GPS manufacurers say 0.1mph accuracy. Speedometers are given a 10% accuracy.
  4. Welcome :) Yes your being silly ;) The Majority of Z's in the UK are Imports. Spec wise there is very little difference between Uk and Import. UK models do suffer with corrosion becuase of the amount of time they have been subjected to our Winters and Salty roads, whereas Imports tend to be like new underneath when they come over and usually with lower mileage. Ofcourse if an Import has been here in the country for a very long time then its just as vulnerable to rust as a UK model. LWB(2+2) = 4 seater , longer wheelbase SWB(2+0) = 2 seater , shorter wheelbase All UK models are LWB TT Manual. Imports available in pretty much every comination of LWB or SWB, Twin turbo or Non-turbo. So if you want a 2+2 TT then you can have UK or Import, but any other version and it has to be import. The vast majority are Targa roof and LWB, but the rarer SWB was also available in even rarer Slicktop(regular roof - Lighter, stiffer) and full convertible (summer cruising) versions.
  5. prob best to speak to them about parking, the forecourt area is small and is shared with petrol pumps....unless there is somewhere out back?
  6. R32 struts & springs are compatable except for the top mounts which are a different shape. I've heard of people modifying the top mounts with grinder to get them to fit though.
  7. The Lightweight crank pulley is a great mod, you can notice the response/revving improvements. The Aircon system weighs around 15kg in total (pump weighs about 10kg). Its not a huge saving on its own but it is as part of an overall weight saving plan. If its working and your not making any other big weight saving changes then its probably best to just keep it tbh.
  8. Well the official UK Nissan power figure for the Auto TT is 263hp, compared to the Manual 280hp. However the Auto engine also had Camshaft differences which would account for some of that.
  9. They are externally physically identical and will fit either engine. Its just the exhaust compressor side that differs internally. On paper the Auto turbos make less power but spool up quicker. In reality your unlikey to notice any difference.
  10. Last in series  Whats that 6 episodes ?
  11. There were wheels like Rota and Ultralite come in. Most are copies of volk/rays and other top brand names, but at a much lower price, while still being built with quality and weight in mind.
  12. Im not sure I've ever seen anyone convert to top feed injectors. All the aftermarket injectors and rails for the VG are sidefeed.
  13. I want one with a Hayabusa engine :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvXgSYRTftA
  14. most just Silkaflex it on. (a type of bodywork sealant). But if you wanted to blend and smooth it in then Fibreglass and filler the join.
  15. I do like them, but I would consider them very cheap. They are chinese/korean manufactured and sell on Ebay. In 19" they are about 800 with tyres, bearing in mind that the tyres alone would cost over half that, it makes them very cheap wheels.
  16. I do like the Cruize 135's, but did you just refer to them as "not cheap" ?
  17. Those Rota's are the same as CraigTT (stellaZ's old car) has on his. Not keen on the Jade R's personally, they look like something you would find in Halfords for Corsa's. I would take a look at the Ultralite range for quaity but affordable wheels. Money no object then you want to be browsing the Volk Racing/Rays options.
  18. wow, lucky git. Have a great time.
  19. There is no 10% reduction. At a constant speed they are extremely accuate, unlike a car speedometer. The innaccuracy your seeing is in the speedo, not the satnav.
  20. Every HID Ballast I have ever fitted or ever seen fitted has been fixed to some sort of metal part of the car. The cases are certainly not Live, Im not sure why they would say not to mount them in that way. In fact most kits come with metal brackets to mount the ballasts.
  21. Satnav is about as accurate as you can get. Most speedometers will read up to 10% out, especially at higher speeds. My shitroen overreads at low-mid speeds and underreads at highspeed
  22. LOL, I was trying to find something I like, and yep thats the only bits.
  23. They stopped making them in 2000, so technically possible, but most likely a DVLA mistake. It happens, Registered by when it came into country instead of manufactured date.
