Ebay postage question
does'nt it state on ebay that its UK mainland delivery price if you dont list an international delivery price. I've sold a few items in the past that were bought by somebody overseas when I had only listed UK price, and each time I have given them the new delivery price and they have paid it.

original indiglo light panels....how much are they worth???
It was a warning, becuase this thread will quickly turn into a forsale thread as people start offering you money for it. Dont take it so personal. Im sure if you use the search tool, you'll be able to find indiglo panel for sale threads that will give you the answers you need.

Is this a good deal?
His description of knockign gearbox from overdrive to drive makes no sense at all. Its the same labour to replace engine, as it is to replace turbos (engine has to come out), but you have to factor in the cost of a Turbo manufactors labour to rebuild them. Speak to Jimmer, above ^ , very respected Z specialist.

Were there any fuel rail changes in later models?
The rail changed to accept the new pintleless style injectors from 95 onwards. The lower plenum is also different. Its popular to change because the later style injectors are cheaper and there is more availability.

Garages/engine builders capable of building a high spec 300zx.
an engines is just an engine, but there are specifics to each that you would want to know. To advise a customer you would need to have experience of the limits and capabilities of an engine and its ancillaries and what modifications work best for this engine. As well as what parts are available and where to get them from. If a garage is not experienced with the VG30 then they wont have a lot of trade suppliers for VG parts either. I dont believe that Big tuners are scared of the engine, or find it too complex or anything like that - its just that the 300zx is very rare compared to most other Performance cars, and its even rarer for owners to go for big engine builds. Garages are therefore not familiar with them and would rather stick to what they know. It takes a lot more time and effort, compared to working on an engine that they are experienced with.

Looking at a BMW 330d!
yeh, same code, but improved along the way.

Looking at a BMW 330d!
* looked up engine code, looks like power/torque varied across the years and model ranges, with it only having 180bhp and 280ib/ft in earlier years - such as the E39 and first E46's

Looking at a BMW 330d!
Are they the same engine in all series throughout all the years ? I've done about 300 miles in a 2006 530D , and was very impressed with the engine. It pinned you in the back of your seat and held you there, very quick. So much torque, and it did'nt sound or rev like a diesel. I was giving it quite a heavy right foot whenever I got the chance, but still managed 45mpg in it. The one I drove had 230bhp , 370Ib/ft

Too FEW miles??
Average mileage reading for an Import tbh. Wether its accurate or not is another matter. My own Slicktop mileage reading is 36,000

Wideband lambda?
You need to get a seperate wideband sensor, and fit it, while keeping your stock sensors.
-
A good diagram of the vacuums - here :)
its not a good idea, when you shut off the excess boost pressure is sent through the Turbine blades causing them to decelerate - which reduces turbo life and increases lag between gear changes.
-
Wideband lambda?
Depends - If ist just for a A/F Gauge, then you need to retain the stock o2 sensors for the ECU. If its for a Standalone ECU management system that runs a Wideband o2 setup, then it replaces the stock o2 sensors.

Same as mine but you ditched your recirc valves and blocked the pipes up ? Why ?

How many Zeds left?
This one went to scrappage scheme last month - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=128472 Numbers are certainly decreasing. Barely any are coming into the country now, they are not profitable compared to other Japanese models. Importing Z's dried up several years ago. Only very late or particularly unique models get imported now, and thats few and far between. Its the UK models that are getting rarer with more of them being broken and scrapped becuase of the rott. Im not sure I could even guess a current figure now though.

Bodywork Advice Welcome
Sounds about right to me. Personally unless your very attached to it, I would get rid. With the car in top condition being worth about the same money that your going to spend out on it your going to lose out big time financially.

350z parts
Fronts bolt on. Rears don't (requires cutting and welding of the rear hub to fit) They are the same as Skyline GTR brakes, except the offset is a little different and the GTR rears bolt straight on.

Paris... anyone?
wanted: uncensored version

What will the results be...
No, sorry , I wasb't clear - Performance wise, It had Catback exhaust, decat, Induction kit and JD Mapped ECU. I meant those mods were unchanged between runs, just the boost difference. There is a thread somewhere with people listing 0-60 times, and there was several with similar mods to myself getting under 5secs 0-60 in an an Auto.

Injectors
Removal procedure is the same for earlier years. There is the dremel procedure, but I dont think you really want to be taking a dremel to that shiney plenum. Its a plenum off job really.

Brake pads
Porterfield and Hawk HPS probably the most popular Z option. The Ferrodo FS2500 is a more expensive and very highly regarded pad.

HICAS - Having some issues...
Its usually the speed sensor or a Mph > KPH convertor issue, thats why I listed them first.
