  1. LOL WOW He still had throttle nailed AFTER he hit the wall.
  2. They do look nice. :) Modernizes the front end. More of an "appearance" upgrade, than a lighting performance upgrade.
  3. Depends on your musical tastes ofcourse, but RATM 'Killing in the Name' of is a top tune from the 90's will be brilliant if it got to No.1.......but I cant see it happening
  4. The word rare is often used for the 300zx, I dont see whats wrong with that. That looks like a particularly well looked after example.
  5. I reckon its a Bomex kit, hard to tell for sure in that pic though
  6. or get a hideaway towbar for the Z, the money you save on buying car would cover the fuel cost for years.
  7. The Lamba/02 sensors fit into the headers, and are not affected by a decat. The stock decat pipes do have a couple of sensors in, but these are cat temperature sensors and they can be simply cut and removed as no longer required. The car will still pass MOT emissions and fuel economy should not be affected. Car will have more throttle response and rev more freely. As for the interior panel retrims - just buy yourself a few metres from a fabric store instead and use the old trim that you peel of your panels as the templates to cut out. Thats all the kits are on ebay anyway, but your paying more for somebody to do the cutting. The hard works is the fitting itself. Takes a lot of patience and some very strong glue. Evo Stick Contact adhesive - Solvent version, in a tin, is pretty good. You will not be able to get them perfect unfortunately, you cant stretch them around every curve, they really need to be cut and stitched. Have not seen any that are perfect that have not been professionally stitched and fitted.
  8. E36 Bmw 325td - More powerfull than anything else in your price range, and RWD.
  9. Pretty sure he means the White wide arch ? , you cant make out that the red one is a widearch in the banner.
  10. i suspect your compensating for overly light steering from a MPH convertor though ?
  11. The ESS Racing Shift at Will uses Steering column Paddle shifters : http://www.ess-racing.com/
  12. its underneath the Main engine ECU. But as lymon mentioned its a Shared PAS and Hicas ecu, so you dont want to remove it. Unplug the larger connector and it disables only the hicas part. But tbh..why bother.
  13. Hey Paul, Welcome back :)
  14. Happy Birthday Smithy :happybday:
  15. not really..... ;) ..... I just took a break from the Z and the scene for a while. Had a pretty big life change. I've gone back to fulltime education - doing a degree in Motorsport Engineering. Needed to concentrate on that. Plus with no funds or time to get the Z on the road, it was getting me down, pretty bad. So I Went from spending all my free time and money on the Z and never going more than a couple of hours without being online here....to completely stopping everything Z related, locked it away and barely thought about it for the past 3 months. ....but xmas is here, and a new year around the corner. I Reckon I'll treat the Z to some pressies :D
  16. It does'nt, those would be magazine/journalist tests, and its just so happens that the road tester at that moment, in that car, achieved a better time than another. ...it could also be that the 93 and 95 example were SWB's (lighter), while the others were LWB (heavier). Weight did vary over the years, with spec changes, but generally getting heavier as they went - Airbags, Side impact bars...etc . There is also a potential performance loss in later years with the removal of the Variable timing. EDIT : Sorry about bring an old post to life....im catching up with threads I've missed over the past 3 months LOL
  17. Nice. A fellow UWE. I was going to put a note on your windscreen to point you at the forums lol What you studying ?
  18. Is this your car I see at UWE then ?
  19. Not too bad if the bolts/nuts come out clean, access is very limited though , but a PITA if they are seized and/or snap...and there is a high chance they will. You can reach them all from underneath, but sometimes easier to reach the top ones from above.
  20. Your fault is with the MAF. May be lucky and its got wet (raining there?) and will be ok when dried out, or has a bad connection (check connector for corrosion and fitment).
  21. No cornish plans for xmas....but I'll check out he meet details and get back to you, cheers Dan.
  22. he's such a Rebel ! Im sure it needed to be done for health & safety reasons :hang:
  23. Still having those wet dreams about me Nick ?
