I'm not used to this......
The Series 2 part refers to the 2nd gen of PTU, not that it came with the Series 2 car, which it does not. So unless you have retrofitted a S2 PTU, it will still have the old S1 PTU. - - - Updated - - - Holy f*ck. 18 hours !? That was'nt stuck with the car was it? or do you mean they put you up somewhere to stay inbetween ?

Photoshop please
You should probably put something up to show the orange you want, Metallic orange could mean a 100 different tones.

what the max widest for a 18incj 8.5 j wheel
235 - 245 is a typical 8.5" width, 255 would be ok and the maximum you would want to use. I doubt anyone here is using 275 on one, remember 8.5" is a typical aftermarket FRONT wheel width on the Z. Most people are running 9.5" rears with a 265 - 275.

Need Advice about editing videos
Windows Live Movies Maker (its probably installed as standard, but if not I think you can install it via Windows updates) - Basic, but simple to use and will probably work for your needs. Alternatively, a lot of the youtubers use Sony Vegas Pro

went in 2003 e46 m3 last nite
Given a choice, I'd take a Bmw over any marque for a daily driver. Although I prefer the extra quality a 5series brings over a 3series. Floor hinged throttles take some getting used too, they feel very different at first, but I prefer the feel once used to them. Bmw's, Porches and other high end sport cars, as well as most race car pedal boxes are all floorhinged.

which is the best v8 donor to use
The Nissan version of the Toyota Soarer engine, is the VH45DE, found in the Infinity Q45. Its essentially a detuned version of the V8 Nissan uses in Most of its motorsport categories, including the 300zx Le Mans racers and a close derrirative the version they use in the GTR GT1 Race cars currently. Its around 320hp in standard trim, but with a remap, new cams, and better breathing you can see closer to 400 without going mad on it as an NA build. John Dixon has been building a very high spec NA race build for his 300zx and you can read about his on this and other forums. If you went forced induction then 500+ is very easily achieved on an otherwise stock engine. There are examples pushing over 1000hp. This was the engine Nissan were originally thinking of using in the 300zx, until they decided to go with the V6 TT, mostly for cost reasons. The other route is the American V8 route. Many to choose form the LS1/LS2 being the big daddys. Im not personally a fan of this, much rather a Japanese high revving race V8 like the VH45de from the same marque as the car its going into.

Wish I had the money.....
Not a fan of them in standard trim.

About 25% of the declared total value (Declared value is Wheels + shipping cost) 20% of it is VAT, the rest is made up of Import Duty and Admin fee's.

FAO any body repair experts
How the hell can the guy claim there was no damage to your Mrs. What did he say when you spoke to him after 5pm ? Looks like : Centre light panel - replace Rear bumper - replace Rear panel damage - repair Bumper reinforcement beam - Possibly needed, hard to tell, you would need to check Insurance repair would be quite significant and would'nt suprise me if they wanted to write it off. However as a non-insurance repair its very easily salvageable with some 2nd hand parts and a good bodyshop.
-
cars been hit up the arse. advice??
Whats the damage ? , you sound certain it will be an insurance write off.

HID headlights
If you get the opportunity I would highly suggest cleaning the inside of the headlights too. Even though they often dont look dirty, once dismantled and cleaned the difference is VERY noticeable. Unfortunatly to do it properly it means removing the headlights and taking them apart.

Some of my pics from Japan
wow, Awesome pictures!! They look very professional

HID headlights
Imports use H3c for regular bulbs but when fitting HID's you use the H3 kit. The difference between H3 and H3c is the earth wiring from the bulb, which the HID kit replaces. I dont have a supplier recommendation though, got mine about 4 years ago, from Ebay I think. I've fitted about a dozen kits to Z's from £30 - £200 , and there were no noticeable differences between them in fitting or in first use. (cant comment on longetivity). I imagine most kits come out of the same factory.

HID headlights
As said, keep the HID's for Dipped beam only. Dont use them for Main beam, they are'nt really suitable for flashing, and severly shortens their lifespan. These are my dipped beams with 6000k, which I am very happy with how white they are. Anything from 4000k - 6000k would be ideal.

What do you guys think of this!!!
I've considered the same for mine, but front and rear, in order to enable me to widen the front and rear track.
