  1. as promised these are pics of the red illumination for the number plate. they match perfectly the rear lights in both colour and brightness. two pics when the light was fading and the other in darkness. i am going to keep these in instead of the clear. don't really know of a reason why these red are illegal. sure someone will tell me though if i am to be corrected!!!!
  2. on taking a pic of the electric seat switch i thought i would pop off the sill plate and look if the '300zx' can be illuminated somehow, turns out these are already the ones, not connected just had two loose wires. i cannot get any life out of it though, i will have another fiddle but wonder if they can be fixed, mainly you graham? :helpsmilie: the condition of the sills are very scratched, don't know how the hell they have got like that!!
  3. its a pity now we have lots of daylight, not really getting the full benefit!! your next job graham are the controls for the electric seats, there looks to be plenty of room for blue strips, just let me know when you want them!!!!
  4. as stated above from the same seller i did get the blue ones and have fit them in the number plate globes, have a see for yourself but i am only playing about really. i was right it just gives a blue illumination, it does not look as blue in real life!!!!!! sorry one of the pics is a bit blurred. i have fit some of my red ones and when its dark i will photo, expect these will be better and legal. another couple of pics i have attached is the interior courtesy light bulb i have fitted and this is it, again same seller http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320497339473 it is nice, bright and white not yellow, does not fade away though of course being smd.
  5. Here are a couple of pics of my mirror control switch which groover as beautifully illuminated up for me. one of course is a close up and the other is more of a distance shot but you can see it in the bottom right hand corner. thank you again graham.
  6. surprised no one as replied to this. i had an oil sender with my stack gauge but could not get it to fit as i needed a tapered thread adaptor, but it turned out i had a sandwich plate already fitted so it was no problem bolted to one of the ports on that. the feed wire for the temp sender on mine just goes with the stock one at the front of the engine, gauges should have an earth, ignition live, permanent live and the feed methinks from memory.
  7. thank you darren and graham. i am watching the item you link on ebay and will see how the green looks first before I take more action. I did have a feeling I might of been able to change the colour somehow. thank you again boys, :flowers: andy.
  8. you made it red daz? were some red and some green?
  9. I was not sure but after some thought I have bought it, if that makes sense. only after i bought, did I see this thread. :clown: I have thought about lighting the 300zx up before and didn't know there was an actual one, he also states it is in excellent condition. Sure the green will not be too bad but of course we will see and yes I too was puzzled about the tried and tested bit :tongue_smilie: First time I have ever seen one for sale in my 6 months of ownership so thought I better snap it up. Hoping to get some dough back when i sell the one already on my car. For those that have one already, can you post any pics of your rear end for me!!!!!! :asshole:
  10. you asked for pics so here is my custom build pic, showing just the one side. not done by me. they are just mdf enclosures carpeted. scuse the mess, I shouldn't really have all that junk in there!!!!
  11. mine went straight through in march with no advisories, like yourself, you can imagine i was well chuffed. I had owned the car for only 4 months so didn't know really what to expect, i did pay much more than 500 squid, but well done to you, your car cannot be anything else but pretty straight :thumbup1:
  12. Seeing as I cannot remember the last time I saw a zed on the road!!!!! It must be years and certainly not seen one since I got mine. I was at the lights in my van and a Renault 5gt turbo came alongside me. Not seen one for ages, my step brother had one and it went like a rocket. I do remember it was very plasticy inside and probably the reason and also that everyone thrashed theirs, that there are not many left. The driver looked like a mechanic in his thirties. http://www.motorimania.it/manifestazioni/auto_storiche/Renault_5_gt_turbo/images/renault_5_gt_turbo_21.jpg This is not it and nor was it in pristine condition, it did quickly move off though.
  13. mine does exactly the same, going to route the stock dash gauge sender to my sandwich plate, where i already have a aftermarket pillar oil gauge and this reads perfectly.
  14. I am thinking of adding a bit of camber on my wheels I might well go down this road, tell me what you think guys :whistling:
  15. as i have had a shower and a think, i am on the same lines, thankyou  anyone know the part number.....please?
  16. http://www.carbeyondstore.com/auto-parts/Nissan-300ZX-JDM-FAIRLADYZ-Rear-Decal/ http://www.carbeyondstore.com/auto-parts/Nissan-JDM-FAIRLADY-Z-Aluminum-Emblems-Pair/ the first one looks like an original part but it says Nissan and I think I like people not knowing what the car is!!!! the second link is a bit more fancy, not sure why its sold in pairs?
  17. seeing as I have just fitted a new rear trim, I am thinking about getting a Fairlady Z sign for the nearside of it. Have seen these on ebay but they are only 73mm long, so to me thats a bit small and out of proportion, 100mm will be better. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200459869974&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Any views on that and some pics of yours at the back will be gratefully received. thank you, andy.
  18. well i have got the broken one off without any problem, it just needs some fresh tape on it at one side as it's gone a bit floppy. once in situ though it gets it's strength back. :tt2: I have attached some pics of it and the box I have for shipping, £25.00 delivered and someone can have it. It's complete with bulbs and holders, the four push-fits, you will just need 4 x 5 or 6mm nuts, but you will have these already. Fit the new one without any real problem and attached the last of the piccies to show. You have just to make sure the push-fits are all lined up as they are each on a slide and have gone fully home in their holes and to just tighten up the four remaining nuts with a 8mm socket just tight enough. :thumbup1:
  19. these will not put lines on your lawn like the beautiful ones at the top of this thread, but this is me on ebay selling again. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130335547690&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT you do need these for slopes and undulations though. i have about 20 mowers at the minute, all similar to the listing. they go for good money and is therefore a well paid hobby for me. :tt2:
  20. seeing as i now have my new trim, a thought occurred to me today (my only one), I wonder if somebody wants my old one. I have the nissan packaging so could easily post it anywhere and I am thinking about £30.00 delivered, its a bit of something back for me and might put someone on. Will come complete with the four bulbs and holders. Have a good look at the pics, you will see it as two broken bits either side of the brake light, :cursing: thats held and covered up just with simple insulation tape. In situ does not look all that bad and nobody as ever said anything. pm me, i am sure i can get it off without damaging it further, will do this over the weekend. anyway its worth a try for a sale!!!!
  21. Got mine finally!!! See the last post of mine for how much I paid. It is exactly as I expected, the fragile strip with built in 3rd brake light complete with fixings and the four bulbs and bulb holders. Will just pop in and then multi plug the light on.......simples. :tt2:
  22. the pictures do make them look like a fog light but they are not as alarming in the flesh. amazing though as they are only T10'S!!! get your point though.
  23. the white or clear bulbs/smd's linked in the post above are now fitted here in the number plate globes. :winkiss: pretty bright i think. one photo is taken in the fading light and the other when fully dark. please note again the absolute redness/brightness of the side markers!!! :thumbup1: cannot recommend these bulbs and this hong kong seller highly enough.
  24. you beat me to it and same post
  25. nice enough that, i like that colour. those seats look very well :confused1:
