  1. Having read a lot of your posts, it is very clear you love your car and are very proud of it. Rightly so, it looks a nice example to someone looking in. You give the impression that you will hard pushed to probably get one that you will equally be in love with in the future. It's a shame you have decided to sell but please don't :nono: I get the impression you will regret it
  2. You dont need to be exact about the weight, it is just really filling in the blank fields on the booking form. These will book DHL for you and charge £8.10 and its up to 31kgs. Very very reliable https://secure.justapplications.co.uk/payperparcel/Default.aspx I use all the time
  3. Bit like Jimmy not much wrong :tt2: I do want now at my leisure some SMIC's and larger injectors, but not in any great rush, oh it could do with vaccing out!!!! :winkiss:
  4. Happy Birthday Graham, sounds like you have a nice day planned, you enjoy it. :happybday: See you soon at JAE, I is looking forward to it :thumbup1:
  5. c'mon who owned one??? Yugoslavia's finest!!!
  6. He wants to bring a Yugo!!!!!
  7. Paypal payment sent for 2 x Tickets. Not made our mind up yet about which day to attend, it will be either sat or sun.
  8. i have not got the foggiest :taz: wish i knew. it was on the car when i got it. it was just a little rust bubbly in places - in need of just a little TLC. :cool3:
  9. I think you said Daz that there was some slack in your throttle cable :confused1: certainly there was in mine, well today I took the cover off and tightened it up. Firstly I got the engine fully warm with the revs nice and settled at 800rpm, then tightened the nuts as far as they would go without it lifting the revs. Perfect now  At the same time I cleaned and silver sprayed the throttle cover, re glued the chrome cover, sprayed up the strut brace and the black Z in the centre  All looks a million dollars but the tight throttle cable is the most pleasing
  10. Well Friday as come and gone and no windscreen as been fitted. I booked the job Tuesday afternoon, I got a call from Autowindscreens at 10.20am Friday, the day of fitting and my first contact with them. The guy said there was a problem and reading between his lines, I concluded that he was trying to fob me off with a blue tint, saying Nissan no longer do the bronze and if that is the case it's blue or blue. I told him I don't want blue, all my glass is bronze, I want bronze of course. Never rung back - nothing!!! Can only presume he concluded I was having non of the blue one and they will now contact me again when they have sourced a bronze one.
  11. i have extensions on mine http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Xenon-HID-Headlight-Kit-EXTENSION-LEADS-WIRES-50cm-20-/360266390916?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item53e18cdd84 of course you will need 2 of, if you are going to mount like me in the front all hidden away under the panel:thumbup1:
  12. http://www.autowindscreens.co.uk/ these are doing mine at work as I have rung the insurance today. Friday between noon and 4pm. Two types of glass the lady told me, one was blue but mine must be bronze with a green top sunstrip she says, looks more blue than green currently to me, anyway must be the right one as it's certainly not blue i need. I have a slicky so I have long roof trims which I have removed myself and all the clips are safely in a tub, the scuttles I will remove once I land at work on the Friday morning. not risking any damage from the 'technician', it's just another job to them, fit and bugger off as quick as possible!!!
  13. Well my name pronounced Footumsh, just I decided to spell it my way, In the Young Ones these two dwarfs come down from wherever in the universe they normally live, come to earth and they get two minutes I think it was to cause mischief. :devil2: They only get to come to earth when somebody on earth says there name, Ftumsch, the red faced dwarf, as I have also seen it spelt, never ever gets said so he stays where he his but the other dwarf called 'Orgo' always gets said so he comes to earth more often. 'Shall I go to the shops orgo to the pub' - you see. Award to me today for the best explanation of a username. :tt2:
  14. The crack originates as I thought from the edge, please see the pic. Was going to leave the trim off for a few days but this exposes the battery and the wiper motor, so i have slipped them back on with an odd bolt, easy removed once Autoglass turn up. :tt2:
  15. I can answer that as mine had places where the coating had come off, the only way is to remove the lot and start again. It came off very easily in fact with some emery cloth. I have now primed and gloss blacked, they look very well. The coating on them before was a kind of textured and a faded grey colour, now they are flat of course and very black. I did offer up the back to chrome trim to the car and I did not like and anyway there is some black rubber glued all the way down which is visible once fitted. :tongue_smilie: See pics, before, after and during.
  16. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Never of worked that one out!!!!
  17. http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/13701.html Good link that my friend - I thank you.
  18. I don't want to break or warp this roof trim on the slicky but have looked and please will someone tell me how these come off. Have removed the end bung and I am still baffled. :confused1: I will be having autoglass round and I want to prepare the car in readiness for his or her arrival for a replacement windscreen. :thumbup1: They also need a coat of paint and I want to clean in the roof channel where they sit. Thanks in advance, Andy.
  19. Been out for a spin today and I don't seem to have a problem at all. :cool3: Turned the boost right down and was much easier on the pedal, re set the ebc and I now have the highest at a more pleasing 12.2psi, I think you all must be pleased with me and my behaviour from now on. In fact, the car was faultless, boosting perfect and dumping. It seems I was silly and asking way too much of the car, taking it to it's absolute limit. 19.3psi will just now live in the memory, car is plenty quick enough without me flogging it to death. :death: Longevity - well I just don't know but I think I have got out of jail!!!
  20. You have me worried Dave, I think I might of been having too much fun. What is worse case scenario and how much dollar??
  21. When I got the car on the boost controller the peak from the previous owner was 16.7, I beat this and had 17.6 I think it was. I then had someone link it to a pc, or so I am lead to believe and then very soon after I flogged it again and got 19.3psi, giving me loads of power with a view to more to come I thought. But now I am struggling to get it above 13. 14 or so, it just loses power, :huh:wooshes away instead of pulling me along with more gusto. What is happening please?
  22. i would have it off you but i believe it gets in the way once godspeed smic are fitted, and thats next on my wishlist. if you know that's incorrect please let me know and i will then have it off you. but thank you kindly, andy.
  23. right i get you now you pair of :xxx:
  24. interesting!!!! I did go down to Newport and buy from Mike funkyboogaloo his zed which as you state as the Brembo conversion, to just clear up that this is my current car and not my old car. good to know that your papa worked on my car
  25. My coolant bottle is cracked also and as been like this over six months, I check my rad certainly every month and the level never seems any different, as it happens i threw some water in the expansion bottle today and it just pees straight out onto the floor, what a waste of time and water that was. It does not seem to be causing me any bother, however as I want everything to work I am now looking for one from a breaker, so anybody?
