Windscreen - Aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!
Without taking the scuttle trim off I cannot say for certain but the crack disappears under it about 2 inches from the side of the windscreen.

Windscreen - Aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!
The day after I did the spraying of the scuttles as per a previous thread, I drove to work 5.5 miles and parked up safely at 8am. At about 10.30am I walked past the car and thought what a good job I did the day before. :cool3: At 12.30pm I got in the car and saw this bloody crack, aaaaaaaarrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhh :crying:   Where the hell did that come from?? :confused1: :confused1: Linked to the job I did the day before?? All the panels went back as sweet as a nut with no stress on the windscreen at all. Can Autoglass make it disappear?? Have looked at my policy and it's £50.00 xs with no affect on the ncb, so will have to go down that road, I guess. Any other guys had new screens in? Had any problems with, etc.

Front Windscreen Grill Trim
This as bothered me for a while, under this black trim I could see black as well as silver and it looked untidy. :crying: I took the wiper arms off and then both pieces of trim, it revealed areas of black overspray or underspray if you like, this removed quite easily and it all returned back to a pleasing silver. Then gave everything on the car a thoroughly cleaning. Sprayed up gloss black on the trim, as you imagine over time they do sun fade. Sprayed and livened up the finish on the wiper arms. A simple job and another well worth the time and effort. :thumbup1:

2 club zed`s meet for the first time
Just one for you Daz, when I mentioned the throttle was stiff both at the pedal and by hand under the hood, you said the spring could be too tight. Well yesterday I cleaned both of them thoroughly with carb spray and yes the right hand side one was wound tighter, I flicked it away from its hold and then re attached with hardly any tension. It is all as free as a bird now and as made the world of difference. At last I can feather and have more control under the right foot, for 8 months since I have owned it, no longer do I have to press hard and high rev every blinkin time I move off. :mad2: Why the hell would it be wound to tight in the first place :confused1:

Unable to align rear light centrepanel
They can be a bit proud if the sealant as not been heated up enough and the front and back of it are not fully together, but it seems you have not took it apart. The very outer nuts which are behind the lights trim on either side can be accessed without removing these fully, just prise it away a bit for access. Make sure the centre popper goes fully home and then when you tighten a bit of a time the nuts just press carefully the centre panel in with your palm whilst you tighten each nut, should go nice and flush, don't over tighten though - just enough!!!

Headlight Once Removed Jobs!!
Well I have worked hard again today :sweatdrop::sweatdrop: Assembled on the bench, the final job I did do was to go all the way round to make sure they are sealed with just a bead from the glue gun, I then tested to see if all the lights were working before bolting in, all was fine so proceeded to bolt in, all loosely at first one side at a time as I removed the wheel to gain excellent access to the one behind the liner. Got Mrs. Phutumsch out again and gave her the bolt with the slot now cut in the top, she offers it underneath, drivers side and I am soon grabbing it dragging tight with my long flat srewdriver, pulls it up a treat. :nana2: The passenger side bolt she dropped it initially, she couldn't find it with the magnetic pick up tool, I said leave it I will find it later and so I did. I tried to get it there with my hands and nearly did it, got her out again and as soon as I saw it I got the screwdriver on it in a flash and up it came, superb. I have attached plenty of pics so have a look for yourself. don't think they take your breath away but I am pleased. :hyper: Had a fiddle with adjusting the beams against the garage door but this needs now doing accurately at my local friendly garage, all my adjusters work an absolute treat and this was what prompted me to start this job in the first place :thumbup1:

Headlight Once Removed Jobs!!
Well I have been busy on and off in the last couple of days. Not needed the car so I set about removing the headlights :glare: Not too bad a job, just the inner rear bolt one ratchet at a time!!! Wife actually helped me with her small hands, although she takes great delight in showing me her cuts!!! Luckily, if I can call it that  the passenger side one was missing, just a 6mm bolt dropped in from the top to make it look like there was one in - result!!! Heated up the gunge and got the glass off, someone as had them off before so it was not too bad. :sweatdrop: So many jobs can be done whilst they are out, I knew some of the adjusters were broken so with the Tamiya gears these are now mended and all work perfectly with the help of lots of oil and grease. I have sprayed the inserts and lenses surrounds with chrome effect spray, should brighten and modern it up a bit. :balloon: Have had them all out of the body and have cleaned thoroughly the reflectors and projector lenses, although to be fair they was not that dirty. All the bulbs have been checked for correct seating, the bungs can all be put in place perfectly, when the HID's are fit and full beam bulbs, lets face it in situ it's a real fiddle. It's a thoroughly worthwhile job removing the headlights, time consuming - yes but I am very pleased with myself tonight. Even better methinks tomorrow if it stays fine and I can reassemble.

ENGLAND! why do put ourselves through it!
I fail to wonder why we was so negatively set up, Barry did ok but why did we need to protect the back four against the mighty Algeria? Even after 60, 70 mins he changed nothing and bizarrely subbed like for like with Lennon and the very frustrating Wright-Phillips. We could all see a shuffle of the pack was needed so why couldn't the expert? I know Carragher and Terry have no pace and in particular Carragher is a liability, but Algeria were never going to show much in that final third. From the way we play and set up it is as clear as day that we have an Italian we will win 1-0 manager. The qualifying group we was in was very very poor, it made us look good, we cannot also argue with this actual World Cup group, we should be winning it quite comfortably. David James in goal. I want to see a flat back four, then Barry and Lampard, although I am not a Frank fan both in the centre, put Joe Cole on the left side with I suppose Lennon down the right, and please Lennon use your pace, get it out of your feet and get to the byline. Allow and encourage both full backs, Johnson and Ashley to link and bomb up the flanks with the two wide midfielders, Cole and Lennon must work back to cover when required, I want to see your top wet through with sweat. Now Gerrard please down the centre just off Rooney where he can roam and hopefully hurt the opposition, this will benefit Rooney and bring the best out of him. There, simples, not rocket science its only a 4-4-1-1. When any player as a chance to shoot, bloody shoot instead of another pansy pass. I do not want to see Heskey again, he his no goal threat whatsoever. If this does not work give Crouchy a good 20 mins up top. Anybody else from the bench is a waste of time, lets face it we have a poor squad to say the least. I wanted him to take Adam Johnson, he his young and direct and from the bench could of caused problems. Why take Barry and Carrick, very similar players indeed and one is definitely not going to be used. Lets go on the offence from the 1st minute and stop fannying around being afraid to lose. :bored: I believe Slovenia will be beaten but we must change things about, they are not a good side and will be set up in a negative formation, very much like Algeria where, as they search the draw they require. Hopefully, Crapello will connect his laptop in the hotel lobby and read this!! :tt2:
