99 Spec Reverse Light Panel Copy - Better Than OEM !!
Well having put up my brake light flasher thread yesterday to mixed reaction but mostly a  to which I totally agree, I set to work and finished my newest creation and I challenge you not to like !!! I have lit up reverse panels for a while now but this takes it to a new level. When 'off' the red 300ZX on mine is redder than the genuine one and mine even lights up, you can surely not get better than that :cool3:. So here is the video of it against a genuine one - can you tell the difference ? And because the video camera doesn't seem to pick up the redness very well I took a pic so view that lower down. Tail Lights fitted with Brake Flasher Bulbs
Already done that but the module I have causes it just to keep flashing, whereas there are ones on the market you can get that go steady on after a few flashes, these I want to try but spending £20 on a trial basis is not something I want to do, whereas the bulbs in the vid were only £1.50 each so I couldn't resist seeing how they performed. You've broken my heart :cry::cry:.

Tail Lights fitted with Brake Flasher Bulbs
These are genuine 99's tail lights fitted with brake flasher bulbs, they light up red when the side lights are on then under braking they don't get any brighter but they do keep flashing to grab the person behinds attention, they keep going until the brake pedal is released. Personally I would prefer them to flash for 5 seconds or so like some 3rd brake light modules you can buy and then go solid but I guess the makers in the far east haven't got that far yet with this type of bulb !! Half way through I switched units to show with one of the chambers normal stop/tail bulb and the flasher in the other. These are just to show what is possible, you may like you may not, personally I cannot use these on my own before anybody cheekily asks or would I want to anyway, my rear lights are fully converted to led. I think you must also question there legality as I believe a brake flasher is not against the law as the subject as been touched on before but the fact they don't get brighter might be.......................haha discuss !! How much fuel....
All sounds like the same as mine, my last one also counted right down to zero where you could run but not far on it, as you reached a gradient it certainly plummeted to zero. With my new one being a diesel no chances will be taken and once the car graphic appears I noticed the needle was still quite away from the empty mark so can understand easy why you can travel a further 30 miles or so.

How much fuel....
A 5ltr fuel can holds 6ltrs, so will be the same principle I guess but you can't pour it but they don't pour they just glug everywhere unless you use the spout flexible thingy. For Richard - Drove my Merc today and the light was on and I was keeping my eye on the range left as I traveled along, then suddenly this range disappeared from view, it was about 30 and was replaced with a fuel pump with pipe which led to a car graphic - Germans saying fill up or else :smartass:.

whats involved
You don't take anything off only the twist retainer and the rubber bung, unplug the connector from bulb, release bulb clip, remove bulb, etc, access is poor but all in all 30 mins to fit, an hour though if a brews involved .

What did you do to your zed today?
Fit my chrome pipes today as the extra Mikalor clamps I needed arrived in the post this morning, I do have the chromed outer ones to match but no adapter for my BOV's so I cannot use, best I could do for now was just chrome spray my existing - no where near as nice but I'll get them done proper over the winter.

Wheel pics
They are 40's yes and I have posted on another thread that my new rubber on the rear will be 255's, I think they're 9J actually and my fronts are 8's which are going to have 225's, so no stretch for me and more grip.

What did you do to your zed today?
I hit my front fog button when I went on the Blackpool Illuminations meet and nothing, so I had a good look today and both ballasts were fine but both bulbs had blown, one smashed . All mended now though as I always have a spare HID kit to hand.

Hose clamps
I know I did some research when I was purchasing but found very little of help, I did order one or two initially as MM points out and this isn't a bad idea as they are quite expensive and you don't really want to be getting it wrong. If you do require further clamps for rad hoses, etc just measure across with with a caliper and order the T-clamp that falls in that range - this theory does actually work :cool3:. The pic below, top left this a 68 - 73mm clamp, bottom left this is 55 - 59mm clamp, all the others are 59 - 63mm clamps. Next pic are the aftermarket pipes, which I am soon to fit (just waiting on clamps !!), with the caliper these measure approx 72mm outer diameter, so therefore these still require 68 - 73 clamps x 3 each, but the reduced part measures 62mm, so require the 59 - 63mm clamps. The aftermarket outer pipes - not pictured, are 62mm across so require the same clamps as the pic above, so that's the 59 - 63mm ones.

Hose clamps
If you just bear with me I will put up all sizes as I have all the Mikalors on mine and I struggled with sizes at first. I did find measuring with a calliper did help greatly :thumbup1:.

What did you do to your zed today?
Took delivery of all these today plus a reverse light panel (not 99 spec), clear side indicators and more thinner blue silicone hose :cool3:. Gave the hard pipes a right good polish and they have come up very well, should look the dogs with my Mikalor clamps, first dry day these shiny bits and the SFS hoses will be fit , think I'm heading now to a red and blue dress up theme instead of just red that I currently have here and there.
