  1. He's a great guy, diagnosed the fault very quickly. However had to take it back home to figure out what the issue was by tracing the fault. After it was home I managed to trace and fix it. Now I just need to book it in with him again.
  2. Fixed my Injector issue and now moving onto very squeaky belts. I have tried to tighten and slacken them but they are like a scream from the deepest darkest chasm of hell. How do i sort them ?
  3. I was but by the time i replied i had already done what you suggested and fixed the issue.
  4. Its just a bad placement of the pin by the manufacturer. I have taken a few pictures and emailed them about the issue but i'm not paying to send it back over 5mm of space to move a pin.
  5. Dont need to fully remove the loom, just need to release the pin 115 and swap it over to pin 114 where it should be.
  6. Pondering to remove the loom now, but to do that i need to remove part of the dash.
  7. Why does shit like this always happen to me. Wiring Specialties have royally screwed the build of the loom and mixed up the pinout to Injector 6. Tracing it back i get the Injector Socket 6 (Pin 1) going to Pin 115 on the ECU which is for the 'O2 Sensor Ground' The correct port should be 114 according to the ECU pin guide below. Getting 12v coming in on pin 115 also scares me as that says it a ground connection. I have emailed the manufacturer to see what they say but i think the full loom needs to be sent back to be fixed.
  8. Also the small test lamp which was real handy. 2023-08-08 10.38.21.mp4
  9. And the rear : 2023-08-08 09.20.48.mp4
  10. Small clip of the first start, prior to figuring out the inject was stuck on. 2023-08-08 09.09.50.mp4
  11. So for anyone who hasn't seen my facebook posts today my little mapping trip didn't go to plan - again. However i haven't came away with complete bad news as with the assistance of DynaTune we diagnosed the issue. It turns out my new loom has permanent voltage going to injector plug 6 which in turn floods that cylinder. Bummer, as its a brand new loom from wiring specialties. Good news is we didn't flood it before this was noticed and we now know exactly where to put attention on next to fix the issue. To test the injector harness we used this little glow plug which cam in handy.
  12. Locked and Loaded - on the trailer ! Ready for its first official start and mapping session on Tuesday.
  13. Would a UK breaker still work ? As its a left hand drive and american the harness will be reversed.
  14. Yeh, Looks like its been used for parts on a previous life. Although never seen a zed that required replacement back end harness. Has it been cut at the fuse box or has it all been unplugged as its a big bloody harness to take out carefully.
  15. I do not believe they are compatible plug wise, may work with a retro fit but likely not worth doing. Stolen off TwinTurbo.net http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1165129/The-three-types-of-speedometer-gauges-how-to-identify.html
  16. Link G4+ or Haltech I have a Link G4+, although my zed is not fully working with it yet its very configurable with the free software. There is also a few zed owners who run them. Don't know much about Haltech but i've heard its good if not better than Link.
  17. We have spark ! 2023-07-29 15.18.16.mp4
  18. Just went for the larger capacity of what i already had. Think i will need to modify the battery tray to get this fitted without it sliding about. In a past life i modified the battery loom and reversed the battery connections, makes for a simpler connection in my opinion.
  19. I think i need a new battery as the one i have doesnt seem to be holding the charge for all that long and i now believe that my spark issues and ecu resets are down to the voltage at crank dropping to low. What do you all recommend i should be looking out for and whats the largest battery dimensions that fit ?
  20. That's what i'm thinking too, although the ECU is a brand new Link G4+. I'll need to source a donor ecu as i no longer have one i can use.
  21. That's what I'm trying to figure out.
  22. Looks like my zed has no spark and that's why it wont start. I think I've tested correctly but to be honest not even sure on that at the moment. After removing a coil-pack along with its associated spark plug i held it against the plenum to check for spark and get nothing. Tried with a few other coil packs and get no spark from them either. Its a brand new loom so was thinking i've missed something or maybe i've a blown PTU, Relay or fuse.
