Series 4 doesn't have a boost guage however I've discovered in mine that the wiring for the sender is still there, but its cheaper getting an aftermarket as you will need to replace the main clocks to add a stock guage.

check you havn't got another firewall/virus prog installed that could conflict first.

just bought two pods for 30 bux, not sure exactly whats needed as mines a series 4 and the main ecu is also 16bit. likely need all the bits ianl listed above !

looking at my series 2 and the series 4 they look very similar. I can strip the dash out in less than an hour now so wouldn't be a huge job for me to do. I much prefer the look and feel of the series two aircon pods and swapping these over would be great - and i'll likely be the first to attempt it too.

can you not just read the codes directly from the ecu's led !

i've a 96 series 4 model and its still the same old interface !

I was thinking the full dash loom needs to be changed first off then the ecu and pods, the rest actually looks the same on the mechanical side. Whats the door motors ? never knew there was any controlling air flow in there. Another thing that bugs me is the manual controls dont light up so good as the right side pod and it doesn't look that great.

This might seem a daft thing to do but can it be done ? Theres so many things i would like to add to my 1996 series 4 but cant as theres no parts about as easily as a series 2. Couple of things i'm on about would be cruise, stock turbo guage, series 2 electronic heating controls. I was thinking if i get a new engine loom, ecu and dash loom can it be done ?

i just got myself some iridium drift guages too ! cant fit yet as its too bloody cold to jack the car and fit the senders !

Roads and weather are a bit clearer down here so i'm still up for any sort of local meet ! Anything to get the 1/2 day off that i booked !

No point in us coming if we can't get home, I went to kilmarnock last night from troon to see the new Tron movie and it took me about 40 minutes to get there at about 15 - 20 mph ! Think it would be safer and cheaper to cancel this one due to adverse weather !

I'm sorry but taking the original engine out of the zed is like taking its heart and sole out. I much prefer a well taken care of or polished zed engine like mine ::whistling:

Did you buy the full pcv set ? My pcv valves rattle too, the small metal bits in the pipes are just a restrictor as far as I know, but the hoses that connect to the actual valves don't have a restrictor on mine! Only the pcv pipes at the back have restrictors in them.
