If the cable is the 9 pin type and your using some sort serial cable to USB adaptor then the only driver needed would be for the adaptor, the drivers on blatz website are for the USB cable they sell. I've found with my USB cable that it only works in certain ports so try swapping over ports first, if your pc or laptop is fairly new then the adaptor will likely be plug and play and will use it's own drivers.

have you done anything with the back end, as in is the rubber seals still on the boot just under where the perspex strip is.
