  3. Just replied, The email and links are genuine and I've explained why in my email. Lee
  4. Doing an IP check all the above addresses fall within BT's network. Although that just could mean that the servers generating the email if they are rough are hosted by BT. Best thing to do is report the email to BT directly if you can or start using a spam blocker. Where does the link it provides take you too ? Can you forward the full email too lee.young@jaikai.co.uk and i will check it out. Lee
  5. Happy Birthday, hope you had a great day!
  6. I'm sure I am as its in the club calendar !!
  7. What I'll do is get an extension out and power it up from a dc main adaptor directly at the transformer. Then I'll know for sure, could be I've stuck the wrong transformer on it as I have a few lying around or it simply could be a drop in voltage.
  8. It is, still have the issue with the panel looking more orange as I'm sure when I tested it a few months back it was much darker red!
  9. Drove the zed to work today and thought the rear panel switch i pain stakenly fitted at the week end was broke. I first thought it was broke when i stopped at the traffic lights as the blue neon light on the button was lit and when i looked at it it was in the off position so i thought to myself how can it be lit as its only supposed to be lit when depressed. But then as the traffic lights changed i drove off and it turned off again; then i realised that my bad habbit of foot on the break was actually causing it. With a twist of fate i created a cool feature in that the secondary cable that is suppose to bypass the relay from the switch actually gets voltage when the relay triggers and in turn lights the led as it has its own seperate ground. So now i know when the rear panel is lit as the switch lights blue when i break and when i press it on permantely. Cool eh !!:cool3:
  10. Wooo, the big 5 0 is it !!:smartass:
  11. lol, I know, I was only messing, it does look like it but you did state it was a year ago !
  12. did I not say before i'm up for this ? as long as its a weekend and not too late purely because of the drive to get there.
  13. Lol, did you get the idea from my original thread ? think ill stop posting ideas until there fitted and tested, haha
  14. For a while now i've been wanting to get my rear center panel wired up with and el panel; actually ive had the actual el panel since last june when our very own phutumsch converted my 99 spec one. So over the last week i've been redoing some wiring internally; adding a button here and there and getting things going. Now i didn't want any old switch on my dash but rather some extra cool functionality that i've never seen before in a zed. First off the switch is a small two way brushed aluminum switch which i've placed to the right of the hand break area, its purpose is to switch a 12v current down two lines going which i installed from the head unit area to the rear of the zed. The first line goes directly to the el transformer and the second goes into a relay which is triggered by a spur coming off the break light system. So when the switch is in its normal off position the relay is energized and when i break the el lights up along with the other lights. When the switch is on it over rides the relay and powers the el transformer directly. A month or so in the planning and yesterday and today i stripped the zed and wired it all up to this result : and this is what i get with the breaks engaged : The whole system works perfectly although i think i have a voltage drop via the relay as the el actually lights up more orange now than red. Also it doesn't trigger any bulb warnings in the dash so that's a plus too.
  15. Reminds me of the guy who was a gynaecologist and wanted to become a mechanic; at college he was taught how to dismantle and rebuild an engine and when his exam was to be sat his examiners were amazed by how his precision was but mostly by the fact that he done the whole job through the exhaust.
  16. Jeff I've updated your profile with your current email and activated your account again.
  17. None of these are setup in your forum settings Jeff ! Even though I can access your profile directly; mods and other committee cannot, so we have no idea your contact email is wrong. Its up to the user to update this information directly via the settings panel located at the upper right side of the forums page.
  18. If you don't mind me asking which two do you use ?
  19. As I said in your other post :
  20. Hi Jeff, The forums processes an automated email every night for any user found to be due to there subs running out. This happens no matter what type of sub they have, either regular member or trader. I checked the logs and we did indeed send a reminder but it failed and was returned. Now I'm not willing to post your email address but I did independently send my own email to it and once again It was rejected, I can only suggest that you please check your profile and settings and update your email address to something that is most current and one that can be checked by yourself or other staff / family members. I hope this explains why you never get reminder emails. If I can assist in any email tests let me know. Regards Lee
  21. If it was only like this : [video=youtube_share;bl8Z-gLLSg0]http://youtu.be/bl8Z-gLLSg0
  22. Correct, There was an old Rep system but it was tied into the old garage and to be honest it was more like a glorified comments page. When we swapped over to the new system everyone level was back dated from the day they joined as a normal user and new users from that day forth that have signed up start at zero.
  23. You can see you own comments left for you in the setting panel or in your profile under the reputation tab.
  24. green button under the post number at the top right of each post !
  25. If you feel the two water pipes as you will be able to tell with the heat transfer if water is flowing through them. although saying that if it was jammed shut you would be having over heating issues, so your lucky its jammed open rather than been closed.
