Like my old zed i'm planning to remove all the old AC parts as I doubt i'll ever use them, so eventually out comes all the pipes, compressor and AC radiator & fan.

Few inner engine bay shots and discovered the start of corrosion under the battery area. Hopefully caught it on time and its only surface paint.

Yeh, About 4000sft - roughly.

End of Feb / March or sooner if a slot opens up in the garage.

Engine is now out.

Old gearbox Looking as if its a crime scene : Apart from the fluid spillage its actually in really good condition.

After the box was out I moved on to the engine area again. After draining some fluids the bonnet was off, radiator out and started on the fuel pipes.

Old auto gearbox came out today and boy that bugger didn't want to come quietly. I had a seized bolt on the torque converter and it took a lot of mild persuasion to get it off.

Whats everyone using these days ? Any recommendations and deals going out there ? I've currently got a small Halfords Advanced kit that done me good for two years but looking to upgrade my set to a proper toolkit, budget is about £250 - £300

Easy way to test : Take the wheel and the boss off. Turn the turn signal on, either up or down. Spin the peg round and see if it cancels the signal. Its mechanical so it should push the lever back to the central position.

Under the boss should look something like below. The two pegs should align with boss.

You've lost the auto cancel. before you attached the new boss, which I presume you got with the wheel did you align the sticking up parts with the notches on the boss ?

Should do, just a small one in front of the main water cooler. Unless your confused by the oil cooler that's inbuilt on uk auto's that's shared with the main water rad. Was the old zed a uk auto ?

And for the first time I managed to get a view of underneath and its very clean looking.

Only had an hour or so but I managed to get the old exhaust off

new ramps were finally installed on Friday and I've started more of the strip down.

I saw Dan's the other day and its in his garage looking very sad.
