  1. Had the zed out in the sun today, nearly, for the first time in over 6 months. I took the jet wash to the engine bay area to clean as much oil and other crap off. Originally planned to get it all steam cleaned but couldn't find anywhere close to hire a cleaner. After it was done I wiped all the excess water away with a towel then let her dry in the sun for an hour.
  2. Hope that zeds in a nice safe and secure place :)
  3. Hey, When trying to buy the new model but the Voucher code doesn't work. After entering details and applying the voucher you get taken to the checkout with no discount.
  4. I've just started watching the remake of Training Day, he's the main character. Likely get cancelled now.
  5. Just heard he passed during complications with surgery. Shame :(
  6. So own up, who won them ?
  7. First place I tried, they have none in Scotland.
  8. Anybody know good places in Scotland to hire a steam cleaner. I need to steam clean the full engine bay before the respray and can't find anyone that has one.
  9. How much do you think they are worth just to get them for a proper retrim ?
  10. If they go cheap enough worth buying just for the seats to retrim them ?
  11. Maybe he's visiting and just checking in like Facebook :)
  12. Agree on that but at the same time do we want a thread full of - Washed it, Looked at it, Started it, Thought about putting petrol in it. lol
  13. Take it they aren't buying it :innocent:
  14. You'll need to be subscribed in order for him to PM, also same if you want to sell it.
  15. Also gave the battery area a quick going over, wasn't too worried about how it looks as the full lot will be redone in matt black when it goes for its proper respray.
  16. Gave them a blast of undercoat then sprayed them again with some gloss.
  17. Worked on the replacement battery tray today which arrived during the week. I had to drill out the old spot welds first then I used the blast booth to strip down the old dirt and paint from it.
  18. Likely a loose jubilee or cracked hose under the plenum. Take the plenum off and strip it all out and do a bypass.
  19. maybe time for a water bypass if its not done already.
  20. what colour is it ? ie is it tainted with oil or looks like its straight from the coolant system ?
  21. I have a removal kit, its basically a cheese wire with two wooden handles. The current tailgate is not the one i'm using as I recovered the tailgate off the last zed, although the glass will be getting removed. I also have a brand new front screen stashed up my loft which I also removed from the last zed.
  22. This is my third series 4 I've encountered and they are still surprising me with subtle changes. Today I removed the inner plastics to get the bumper off and I discovered this mechanism. This series 4 has a remote fob and a boot popper but I didn't expect the cabling of the boot and petrol flap to be completely different. The cable also runs under and across the rear seats and comes to the boot from the passenger side rather than the drivers.
  23. Also dismantled all the interior of the tailgate so I can get the cables out and bolts slackened. Plan to get it all off tomorrow but couldn't lift it myself so just left it tonight. Lastly undone all the bolts and got the bumper off.
