  1. Trinity website is so damn slow - here the link to the Trinity forum thread: http://zionmatrix.com/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=4&t=72 Alternatively (I think this'll work), unzip the attached torrent and open it up Beermonster, Dave, Andy, etc - let me know how you get on with either of these.... Simon.
  2. Right - finally uploaded ok, and I can see if on the stats page: http://zionmatrix.com/thetrinitytracker/stats/ Just trying to figure out where i get the link from to post here....
  3. Muhahaha - thats the first thing thats made me laugh all day!!
  4. Trying at this very moment..... I'll keep you posted Simon.
  5. Parcel force unfortunatly seem to charge the most when it comes to their flat-rate import fee too - steer clear! (I think its £30 on top of VAT charged to all imported goods.) Simon.
  6. Hi Timmy, We never did meet up for a pint while you were working at you-know-where. Where you now?? Simon.
  7. My short answer is 'Maybe'.... The pic you attched shows the exhaust manifold really close to the samco, so I assume you're going to use some exhaust wrap on the manifolds? Like http://www.proven-products.co.uk/products/cooltek.htm (I know the manifolds are nice n shiny and good for the photos when left exposed, but in practice they'll radiate so much heat!) You may also need to use some aluminised wrap for the samco hosing too, I reckon any rubber or silicone within 100mm of the manifold will need it - similar to the positive lead that connects to the starter motor from the battery - thats wrapped in foil-backed tape to insulate from the OS turbo. That 4p now :) Simon.
  8. The compressor side of the turbo doesn't get that hot - Nissan wouldn't use paper gaskets between the housing and the compressor outlet elbow-joint otherwise, plus, like others have said - a lot of other motors like cossies / ren5 turbos, etc all have rubber going straight to the compressor housing. Regarding the use of water cooling - its pretty redundant really since the oil does the best job of keeping the internals cool. (Hence the need for a turbo timer / running your engine for a few mins after a long blast) 2p Simon.
  9. Ok, I've made the .torrent file with MakeTorrent (added in to Burst). The tracker I used was: http://zionmatrix.com:6996/announce (do you actually need to know this?) The file's been hashed and says its ready for download - I've got a command-style window up with some information regarding upload and download speeds, etc. But, every now and then it says "Error: Problem connecting to tracker - Do I need to select another tracker? Simon.
  10. I've closed and re-established by kazza connection, so might work now. Otherwise fret not - I'm reading up on this BitTorrent stuff - sounds interesting, sounds like I need to create a .torrent file, and find a server to host it (which could be my own machine if I configure IIS) Simon.
  11. "bite the pillow, and position in a hithero warm cavity"
  12. Kazza lite is ok I find, but always keen to other products. I've head of Bit Torrent - but never looked into it - another P2P client I guess? Let me know whats what I need to do to get set up and I'll have a look. In the meantime for those who do use Kazza - I've shared an .ISO on my machine - do a search for FASTer0104.iso (Hopefully Plus.net won't winge :)) Si.
  13. I've just picked up the 01/04 copy of FAST from my local dealer - Nothing much improved for the 300ZX, but is does have everything for the 350Z and comes with a windows2000 installation. I might create an ISO if there's interest and put it in my Kazza - (hopefully I won't get any nasty mails from my service provider regarding overuse of bandwidth). If a few others do the same though, the wider population can download it pretty quickly (if using broadband - its 584MB) Simon.

    d.i.y - true, but also P.O.S :)
  15. Whilst at SE earlier today someone took a picture of one of Iains new turbos: ...that really is a turbo!

Some dogs just aren't happy playing with one ball! :) Jezz: We use the 'IAMS' dry food for our cats - would wholly recommend it.
  17. Hi Chris, glad to see you're back. I hope 'no news is good news' and your car is slowly going back together ok Simon.
  18. Bike equivalent of Iains car innit? .....leaving thread before Iain catches me..
  19. I'm currently using my clutch without vacuum assist, since developing a vacuum leak, which I've yet to trace. What I've done is remove the pipe from the most O/S end of the balance bar, and plugged the hole. I'm rather hoping that it isn't the clutch booster thats gone faulty, i.e. the diaphragm split, since they're v.expensive! Even courtesyparts dont have it cheap! regards Simon.
  20. Thats pretty harsh - glad you're ok thou m8

How long has Jonny Vegas been doing car installs then? Perhaps radio 1 doesn't make ends meet! :D
  22. True, true. I've since looked at some other pictures I took of my oil pump, and I can see a large screw-cover which houses the pump regulator! Doh.. Still, I got to post a picture which brightened the thread up a bit :) BTW, when you gonna get your car down the dyno then? I think there's several people on here who'd be interested to see what the PE1420's and those manifolds can do for a VG30. Si.
  23. Maybe... The manual I've got states that as the 'regulator', however, it doesn't show any valve even exists on the filter-mount assembly (LC-5), what it does show is the pressure sensor sender unit mounter there instead - which isn't the case, since we both know that's fitted to the N/S turbo oil feed pipe. The manual also says the 'relief valve' is one of those ball-bearing valves in the filter-mount assembly - so that if the oil filter becomes totally blocked, or the regulator fails - the relief valve pops open, and oil bypasses it. (LC-6 to 7) My manual also has no mention of the oil cooler which I've got too, so I think Nissans documentation is letting us down here. Andy, is your car a UK or Jap spec? Just wondering if the regulator is actually in two different places - similarly to the pressure-sender placement being different. Si.
  24. Doctor, doctor, I've got a steering wheel stuck in my pants.... ...... its driving me nuts!! lol :D
  25. Just trying to figure out what wood its made from, looks like morning-wood on my monitor :)
