  1. Avatar How to train your dragon (funny as hell) Transformers 2 Dark knight Any of the pixar films 300 Stay away from films with cheap special effects / bad CGI as Blu-ray just enhances the crapness of them and the CGI
  2. I use Lynbrook classic car insurance, with a 8k miles limited policy and it cant be your daily driver, it doesn't give you NCB on the policy either..
  3. It came off Artztogos car, i then fitted it too my Black UK Spec TT, and shortly after fitting it, carmad wanted to take a copy, as i needed a 89spec rear spoiler we worked a deal out and the bumper came off the car. When i put it on my black TT, i didnt touch the intercooler ducts. but when i tried to fit it to my JDM TT, i did, now for some reason, it refuses to sit flush with the wings, which is strange as i didnt have the same problem fitting it too the UK spec car, which i hadnt touched the intercool ducts, they were flexible enough to allow me to give it a bit of a push and do the bolts up.
  4. I'm getting the exact same symptoms now my hesitation is fixed and my 99spec front bumper is on, but i now have to replace the HKS air filter or fabricate my own shield for it as it hangs way to low into my 99spec front bumper "mouth" so it gets direct airflow into it on one side (side facing the air flow) after coming off boost. But as you say, its so smooth when cutting out that if your not paying attention to the dash, you can stop and have to restart the engine lol
  5. Check jimmys ride out, its the bonnet, it needs to be black, jimmys is perfectly balanced, and a very stunning zed it is too http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=534
  6. That amount of Water wouldn't bend anything, but with a wet filter and water vapour being sucked onto the MAF sensor it would be giving false readings. even if they are in range, it might be so varied that the ECU is trying to compensate a lot and getting very confusing signals. Take the filter off and dry it out, take the MAF off and give it a clean with carb cleaner then put that with the Air filter in a warm dry location. then refit then run the test again.
  7. I like them skirts, it just doesn't look right with the rear standard bumper and the front standard bumper. it makes the front and back of the car look to high, as the middle looks to low, but that car is crying out for a black bonnet.
  8. Yeah mine were trimmed, but something is pushing the front out away from the nose and lights. so its not quite marrying up with the wings. and you cant push it any further in. there is definitely something stopping it moving into position.
  9. There is a thick edge around this bit, i think its this its catching on. ill have the bumper back off tomorrow and double check, then trim that part down, and see, strange how i didn't have this problem with the UK bar. and no Car.Mad i do not thing it was to do with the mold casting process, just my bar being gay on me.
  10. You will have to reset the ECU to get it out of safety mode, do this by disconnecting the battery for 1 hour and then reconnecting. But before you do that, under the passenger foot well carpet (up against the foot rest) remove the 4 bolts holding the piece of wood over the ECU, on the side of the ECU is a little screw you will need a flat head screw driver. turn the screw fully clockwise, then wait 2 seconds, then turn it fully counter clock wise, then sit and watch your engine light on the dash, you will get long flashes, (first number) then short flashes for the second number, take a note, even if there are more than one code. reset the ECU, take it for a drive, then check the ECU again too see if the codes flash up again, if it does 5 long flashes followed by 5 short flashes, its all clear. if not post up the codes.
  11. Nope, must of been someone else, groover had my old MAF.
  12. Yeah was thinking of trimming around the edges of the fog housing not going to close to the rear, but just enough to take that "bulge" out around the edges.
  13. Did you change the com port settings on the USB, as far as im aware the Software looks for the connection on com's 1 and 2, any different and it will fail to find it, its a bit fiddly to do, and sometimes requires software but it can be done. Many Thanks for the advice.
  14. did that, still wont allow CU as a starting designation. dont know why they changed it. :(
  15. I love private plates, best one id want, and was up for grabs was CU L8R or "see you later" first time i checked it was listed at £250,000 (yes quarter of a mill) the second time i checked on a different site it came down to £80,000. for some reason when i try it now it seems that you can no longer have that combination of letters and numbers. Annoyingly they seem to have stopped doing the CUL8R type plates, all the ones it brings up in searches now, want to have CU the 2 numbers, then 3 letters, so kind of ruins what its supposed to say.
  16. OK, verdict on the PTU change. she didnt want to start, so i changed it back to the old PTU, fiddled with the wires, cleaned the connections. put her back together and took her for a test drive......... Dear Richard, not sure what I've done, but she is no longer pushing 14psi on boost. for some reason, she is now pushing 16psi on boost. and boy does she shift. and no more hesitation, Eh? fookin cars...... I have no idea what is going on lol Also found i have a fuel leak at the FPR on one of the little pipes under it going to the Injector rail. so looks like ill be dealing with that then, but much easier than chasing a Hesitation issue.
  17. brb going to go change the PTU over lol
  18. Nope didn't have them, had the bar that attaches to the front of the bumper with the nose panel pins in, and the two side bits that i already had taken off the 99spec before i sent it to car.mad, I've looked at every possible situation to think why i cant bring the wings up, and the only thing i can point it too is that bar that holds the fogs in, the fog surrounds have some pretty thick plastic on it. so I'm just going to grind it back a bit as its only 2 bolts to remove. and see if that helps.
  19. Need to sort out this hesitation issue before i travel any great distance in it. around town and to and from work as its not too far isn't too bad, as i can limp it home if i need too. Really need to sort it out before i lose my confidence in driving her first. really don't want to be constantly thinking shes going to cut out on me on the motor way on the way too see you. i have another car available anyway, unless of cause you want to come pick it up?
  20. And me  your definitely not on your own on that one lol
  21. aah bit of filler and some wax and that will buff right out...
  22. Ive got the genuine conZults diagnostic software with serial, came as part of the car and package, along with the ConZults cable.
  23. lol why does that always happen on this site, are we all just too impatient and want to sort our cars out fast lol
  24. Dave I've got some Automotive liquid gasket brand new, rated from -50 to +250 degrees, never used it, ill bring it with me when i come visit with the bonnet. you can take a look and see if you want it.
  25. my brain escapes me sometimes, lol good idea that.
