  1. If your going to try the flushing, best do it before you bring it up. Reason i say, is because if it does cure your problem, you might not know how long for, like pablito. it will also need to be done twice due to oil being kept in the torque converter. Did you have a word with JeffTT see what he says about it, might be worth a phone call tomorrow just to make sure its not a replacement gear box you need. I wanted £200 for the box and ill fit it for you as well, its off a UK car, its done around 99.7k miles, but loads of service receipts to go with it. so has been looked after in that respect. shame in others it got let down lol. I'm thinking its mostly motor way miles due to the fact the car has only done 1400miles since 2001 when it had a cam belt change. gear box is fine though, changes when it should, no adverse noises, no hesitation or anything. plus we will give it some new oil when we change it.
  2. Your in luck pretty easy to get to, remove the throttle cable cover and its accessible, will most likely have to remove the coil pack connector as well
  3. Good luck with it matey. lemme know how you get on.
  4. Not quite sure id be able to get it out with this thing, but damn lol
  5. is indeed matey. little screw on the side of the ECU, turn it fully clockwise, wait 2 seconds then turn fully counter clock wise. then instead of straining your neck trying to read the flashing light on the side. check the dash at the engine management light. that will flash First number = long flash second number = short flash 5x long and 5x short, code 55 all clear. If there are more than one error codes. it will flash them one after the other so pay attention as it does cycle through them and then repeats them If you don't have code 55, jot them down and post them up, ill let you know what circuit that's showing the fault. do the code check before resetting the ECU. if you do get a fault. reset the ECU, take the car for a drive. and then recheck to see if the code has come back.
  6. Ecu resetting is done by leaving the battery off for 1 hour, doubt you would need to for a exhaust change. but may as well as its not complicated to do.
  7. lol @ north londonshire, who the hell came up with that naming plan.

  20. true, i know the lot who run the Airsoft event at finmere, so might have to arrange a sunday where us Zedders go airsofting. For those who don't know what Airsoft is. its like Paintball but with realistic firearms that shoot BB's, and not the kiddy ones either. these things fire little plastic balls between 250, and 500fps. (most real hand guns can fire a bullet at 2500fps) It works on the trust system. if you get hit stick ya hand up call your self out and go sit in the respawn area until you can join the fight again.
  21. Would depend on who does it, usually around 3 to 4 hours mark if you have someone who knows what there doing, could be quicker if no bolts brake or snap due to age.
  22. What the hell does northamptonshire fall under, we seem to be stuck out in the middle of no where. yet we have all the fun stuff around here, silver stone, rocking ham speedway and santa pod.
  23. Id rather not make my self a target for the MOB lol
