Yes it was bud, but not as bad as now :smash: , got a pair of tubbs ready to go on , gonna pull the engine out down at mantav8,s house but he,s already sold his lift , that,s why i got these fitted now so we,re not struggling to undo rusty exhausts underneath a jacked up car . It,s just gonna be very imbarassing to drive for a few weeks :cry: :cry:

Finally got round to fitting them :dance: There the JAPSPEED ones sold on ebay by 2Fast2Cool , nice quality and had no fitment issues at all. Managad to give it some welly on the way home , you can certainly feel the difference , power comes on stronger and lower down than before , just feels alot livelier :nana2: :nana2: Would reccomend them. The worse part is removing the original downpipes and elbows off the tubs , had to heat the downpipe bolts red hot before they,d budge and you need hands like a 5 year old to get to the top nuts on the elbows , but after lots of skin loss and swearing i managed it :dance: Only problem now is it,s smoking like a train , i knew this would happen , i,ve fitted the pipes in rediness for pulling the lump out to replace the worn tubs. I can,t really say anything about the tubby timer incident , i did exactly the same when i bought the car , got to the petrol station and couldn,t figure out why t couldn,t switch it off :smash: The seller never told me it had one fitted , i thought it had a duff ignition :slap: :slap: :rofl:

POWER ..will hold the revs to the red line when flooring it but also comes on automatically when you floor it , you,ll see the light come on to the right of the steering wheel :confused: HOLD ..car will pull off in second gear , redusing the chance of wheel spin in slippery conditions . OVERDRIVE ..with this switched off the gearbox will only change up to third gear and the torque converter will lock in third to give a direct drive .You also get some engine braking when coasting . Switch it on and you will have all four gears and the torque converter will lock in fourth. You get used to them eventually bud :D HTH

Mine used to do this , check the terminals in the Yellow plug for the temp sender unit on the top alloy water pipe , probably needs cleaning or a new sender unit ,HTH

Daft thing was , i only noticed when i went for some petrol and noticed my speed rising everytime the engine revved :smash: :smash: There not bad to fit but do use a very thin double sided tape , something like carpet tape or better still some stuff called Re-Fix Tape made by 3M, anything thicker and your needles can catch on the clock faces . Oh and do make sure you put the right face on the right clock :nono: HTH
