Mine did exactly the same , same phone with the same problem , installed software and it stopped my computer from going on the net as well !!!! A mate got the computer working again but as yet i still havn,t got the software working :smash: Bloody technoligy
  5. I gather you,ve never met Steve !! :x: :x:
  6. Try it on my computer , i put the kettle on while i,m waiting :smash: :smash:
  7. Glad to hear that Steve   , at least you can park with us at the meets , the Landrover looked a bit out of place  :D
  8. The nissan sender unit for the guage is crap bud , they seem to work when they feel like it , if you,ve only swapped the battery and everything was fine before then there shouldn,t be a problem with your pressure , just needs a good warm up to get the oil thin , should start working again  Time to fit an aftermarket sender and guage , very reliable
  9. Must admit i was waiting for something to happen :smash: But a Merry Xmas to you all
  10. Ah bugger ,a bit short notice Nick, got other plans , sorry bud.
  11. Now that looks very tidy bud  , but have to agree about the rear bumper
  12. Took her out for the first run today , sweet as a nut   Not bad considering I,VE replaced the connectors on the loom  AND NO MORE SMOKING ON TICKOVER
  13. Ooh , speed holes anyone :x:   I kept it well locked away bud :D :D
  14. Had mine over 2 years now , apart from routine wear and tear items that would need replacing on any car and having just done the tubs , it has never missed a beat   As already stated , get a good one and it,ll put a smile on your face everytime you drive it
  15. Ooh BLING , I wish my missus would buy me sommat useful like that  lucky bugger
  16. Thanks for the comments guys , i,m really pleased how it,s turned out , there,s still some more bits i want to sort out , the balance bar looking scruffy and other little things but they,ll all get done in good time  If anybody,s needs tio do a plenum bypass , the blue pipes are the new feed and return pipes , just to show the new direct connections to the heater matrix feed pipes . Anybody who,s suffered from water getting to your airfilter ( dripping between the bumper and nose panel ) this is how i cured mine , using some sheet plastic :D I know it looks like a pair of pants
  17. Well nearly , just the TPS to set up and a few bits to fit and i can finally take the old girl for a spin , a week without driving the zed IT,S KILLED ME but it,s been well worth it   . A massive THANKS to my old mate Darren (mantav8 ) for his invaluable help and guidence the use of his garage and his family for keeping me supplied with tea  Also thanks to Slick Pete for the use of his engine crane ( dinners on me bud at the next meet ) OUT AND OILY THE DRILLER KILLER,S IN TOWN ONE HORRER I FOUND , A COMPLETELY BLOCKED TURBO WATER FEED !!!! VVT SPRINGS HAD BEEN COMPRESSED !! (new one on the right) THE END RESULT WITH NEW TURBO,S, REAR MAIN SEAL , VVT SPRINGS , ROCKER COVER GASKETS , WATER , PETROL AND VAC LINES , POLISHED PLENUM AND REMOVEL OF A SHED LOAD OF CRAP  ALL THE CRAP WE TOOK OFF , AIV,s, EGR , CARBON CANNISTER AND LOADS OF PIPES
  18. : told you the dampers were shot !!! :
  19. We got the plenum off , been sorting out wot pipes can be junked , did the VVT springs and yes mine had compressed with age so hopefully that,ll sort the occasional tickover rattle i get . The worst thing we,ve found was on the o/s turbo which has no shaft play at all just the oil seals buggered but when i stripped it off the oil lines were perfectly clear ( hence the smoking issue ) but the water feed was completely CLOGGED !!! god knows how long it,s had no cooling for the turbo but it doesn,t seemed to effect it at all , i,ll see wot i find on the n/s tomorrow :smash:
  20. Thanks , ooh a lightweight zed on it,s way :D
  21. With tha damage on yours bud i,d say drop engine gearbox and front suspension all in one go , with everything disconnected you just need to lift the front of the car high enough to clear it all and drag it out. HTH
  22. Don,t see why not bud , the only problem might be clearance , we took mine out today and the engine can only move forward off the bell housing a certain amount before it has to be liftef to clear the cross member , with the T/C still on it might foul the bell housing . I,m sure someone will know a definate answer
  23.
  24. So does that mean,s as we,re removing all of these they can be capped off and not used ?
  25. Nice one Dave , hope there,s a garage for the zed
