  3. Didn,t have many problems with the accent , the missisus,s dad,s from Glasgow now he is hard to understand :smash: . Got to say Edinburgh is a great place and everyone were very friendly , i,d like to go again but only when it,s WARMER . How the Scotts wear kilts in that weather i,ll never know
  4. I fitted a second hand one in mine about 2 years ago , it was never that good afterwards , when we had the engine out i decided to try and flush it through so connected a hose pipe to one of the pipes , not much water flowed through it , i thought the water valve on the side of the matrix might be nearly closed even though i,d set the climate control to 40 dgrees before disconnecting the battery ( ensuring the valve would be fully open ). Put the hose to the other pipe and at first same again happened but then a load of crappy brown sludge flushed out and the water flowed properly , i,ve now got a lovely warm heater   This can be done with the engine in , just need to pull both matrix rubber feed pipes off the back of the engine , and cobble something together to connect a hose to these pipes . HTH
  5. and not a single zed spotted :smash: :smash: But lots of men in skirts    :x:
  6. Yeah wots the guy,s rate £1 an hour
  7. Pop your bonnet , there should be a unit bolted to the n/s strut top with a cable going to the throttle linkage meaning you should have two cables all together ( throttle and cruise ) HTH

  10.    Cheat !!
  11. The first one i did wasn,t too bad to do , i,m in the process of doing the one i took off my own car , these are obviously sand cast hence the finish on them but i think the one off mine must have been cast in gravel !! it,s so fooking coarse :headvswal :headvswal I use a D.A sander to sand the alloy smooth , starting with 80 grit to remove the casting finish then use 180 grit and finally 320 grit and polish up from there . It,s very awkward and time consuming getting down the sides of the pipes :smash: I use a belt sander to remove the casting flashes then sand it as best i can with a D.A but alot of areas have to be done by hand !! Polishing kits are available from Frost Automotive. Have fun take your time and be prepared to loose some skin  but it,s worth it in the end
  12. The silicon type gasket sealer works perfect
  13. That,s one way of stacking ya surfboards :xxx:
  14. It,s Dagenam leather :x: :x: Got to admit , i,ve always drooled over the Granada Coupe , thought it was a great looking car
  15. You beat me to it , was just about to say the same . The trim they use is just on a roll ,only one little niggle is you would have a joint line on the rear window trim but the fronts not a problem
  16. Taking the missus up there on wednesday for three days , it,s her birthday :duffer: :duffer: Any reccomendations of places to visit . We,re stopping right in the heart of Edinburgh on Princess Street , really looking forward to it
  17. Dave , you still with us ? Dave ...Dave...
  18. Ooh , you wait till i see yours missus :slap: :slap: :slap: Now what was it i wanted doing on my car next :x: :D :D
  19. If the connector is knackered go to the scrappy,s and cut an injector connector off a Vauxhall ( they,re yellow ) just file the lug off the sender unit ( nissan one is offset , vauxhall is central ) and you,ve got a nice clip with finger releases on it and a proper moisture shield in it , works a treat .
  20. That,s just the photo,s bud , they inspected them on the monday and i picked them up on the wednesday   Took me by suprise as well
  21. Spot on mate , it would be a nightmare of a job with the engine in .
  22. What i meant was we had the engine out and fitted the new ones . I,d bought a pair of a forum member, had those re-conned so my car wasn.t off the road , ive now got my old ones spare if anybodys looking to do the same , they obviously need re-conning but it,s just the oil seals which have gone , there,s no shaft play on them and the blades look in very good condition , but this will need confirming once stripped by a specialist . I,m after £80 delivered for the pair , most of that would be postage as they,re very heavy . Cheers Allan
  23. Steady now Steve , you know your only used to Landrover power   :D
  24. Got to say , that,s a sweeet looking zed , well done bud you must be chuffed to bits
