A life changing decision
I,ve been working in large bodyshops for 30 years but over the past few years i,ve been getting very disolusioned with the way the trade has gone , your being made to cut corners all the time and do the repair down to a price rather than up to a quality , where i worked they announced redundancys a couple of months ago so after much thought i volunteered for it and got it , i was looking at getting out the trade altogether and trying something different but wasn,t really sure what ! As you all know jobs are scarce and so many of them are minimum wage ! so i was getting a little worried whether i,d done the right thing so i ended up sending my CV out to a few bodyshops and got offered 3 jobs , chose which one i thought would be the best for me and started there last monday , by wednesday i,d realised it was same 5hit different overalls and left . The new type of contracts that some insurance companys are handing out are just plain rediculous , with any car with repairs that come to 5 grand or less they pay the garage a grand , any over 5 grand are payed in full , basically your being told to repair everything to keep parts costs to a minimum so you end up gluing bumpers , grilles , headlights and all sorts back together and repairing panels that should in reallity be replaced , this is not the way it should be done IMHO Now i,ve always enjoyed modding , fitting kits and painting cars and doing mechanical work as well so i,ve decided to set up my own buisness offering these types of services as well as your usual servicing and repairs  I,m now on the hunt for a suitable unit and i,ll keep you posted and see about avertising on here once i,m up and running

PAS hose
An NA one wont fit aTT pump , but a TT one will fit a NA pump , the cranked metal tubular end that bolts to the pump has a different final length , the tt one being longer , so the NA one just doesnt quite reach enough to bolt onto the TT pump but fitting a TT one onto an NA pump is easy as it now has excess length on the pipe so drops on . I found all this out at my expense after buying a na one for my tt . in the end i took my pipe off , took it to PIRTEK they made me a new pipe using the original fittings as they are specific to the car and it only cost £45 !! hth http://www.pirtek.co.uk/

injector fault
Yep i did the same when the front N/S one died , i found a dremel a bit slow so ended up using a carbide burr cutter in a cordless drill , worked a treat , as for the screws holding the injector in , i used a screwdriver with the right size of phillips head and gave them a couple of sharp wacks with a hammer just to help break any corrosion that might be furring the screw up and they undid really easy. One thing i found really handy was one of these , not only to pick up any bits you might drop but to see what your doing in the tight confines of inbetween the plenum. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OSRAM-LED-WORK-LIGHT-FLEXI-NECK-2X-MAGNET-NEW-/250878795282?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item3a698a9e12 Once you,ve done your dremeling , make up a small pipe to fit your vacuum and clear out all the swarf before pulling the injector out .HTH

suspension
The camber on the front isn,t adjustable unless you fit adjustable top arms or a shim kit that shims the main upper arm mounting away from the inner wing to alter the camber .HTH

servo assist on clutch
The rod that that comes from the clutch pedal and presses the clutch master cylinder is also adjustable at the end that goes into the clutch master cylinder , there is a domed nut on the end of the rod that screws in and out to take up slack in the mechanism , i did what a few others have posted and tee,d into the vac feed for the servo and fitted a one way valve , worked a treat . what EBC do you use?
Had mine on for over a year ( cars now sold ) but i remember Smithy a trader on here for many years said that Gizmo electronics were very well rated in the tuning circles overseas, it was that comment that convinced me to get one and i didn,t regret it at all . HTH
