1. Sounds like a plan Nick be good to catch up , kettles always on bud
2. A few more for you  We,ve done the splitter section of the rear bumper first in a black base with a 2k satin laquer so it,s far more durable , that was masked off and the rest done white . And the front bumper with CarMad vents fitted Just need to fit it all back together , bit of a nib and polish and she,s all done . We,ll stick some pics up when she,s all together
3. Deffo trying to pull a fast one on you hoping you,ll just lay down and take what,s on offer ! fook em bud you fight your corner and get what,s rightfully yours !! I had a similar situation many years ago when the " head of transport " for a large company pulled straight across me and caused a collision , 100 percent his fault . i started getting really shitty letters of his company soliciters trying to tell me it was all my fault , so i basically told them to keep there fooking noses out as it was a matter of my and his insurance companys to deal with . His insurer then started writing to me saying i was at fault hoping i,d back down ! .... wrong I copied down three A4 pages full of quoted paragraphs about how to approach junctions and turnings and after each quote put " your client obviously didn,t do this " after each quote and sent this to his insurer , i finished off by saying they,d best get this sorted out quickly or i,d be taking it to the next level and suing them for the stress they were causing me . Got a cheque through within a couple of weeks !! Result . :thumbup1:
4. Catch up time , as Pete,s said we got the shell painted Theres sooo many seperate panels to paint , 16 in total !!! so we,re having to do a batch at a time . lol Here,s the now stretched arches getting some primer Not much more to do now .:thumbup1:
5. Darren,s got the engine bay looking purdy , bit of primer first and a couple of topcoats. Oustide to do next after lots and lots of rubbing down ! lol
6. Okey cokey Chris :thumbup1::thumbup1:
7. Yeah , it,s a shame really cos after all the reports of these fitting perfect i,m just glad we hadn,t painted it thinking it,ll be a simple bolt on job . I quite enjoyed doing the wheel arches , i must have a twisted streak ! lol
8. So slits were cut in them so they could be widened to fit the zed arch , just need to glass them up now so they,re a snug bolt on fit . When we fitted the TwinZ rear bumper we found the ends didn,t fit snug and had to be pulled in , being a thick strong bumper it has now cracked in both corners because of the stress !!! Gonna have to put some relief cuts at the back to allow it to " give" and repair the cracks , anyone come across this with their,s ? Pete said the first one they fitted was a perfect fit , i just wonder if this and others has been stored incorrectly allowing the sides to splay out a bit ?? No biggy it,ll be sorted
9. At the back Bob needed another 20mm width for a wider track but the tyres were catching the already rolled arches now under certain loads so we agreed to cut the arches back and fit fibreglass arches . After cutting the lip of the arch off i cut a new edge higher up and removed the outer quarter panel section , notched the inners and dressed them up to the new edge and welded them . Trial fitted the arches which we new were to narrow for the zed arch , you can see the ends curve in too much
10. A bit of catching up . N/s quarter done Had to pull the front xmember as it was the main point of impact which in turn had kinked the leg where the tension rod bracket mounted , most of the straightening had been done earlier in the year but a few bits needed tweeking , also the inner wing needed to be pulled to lift it about 10mm . Darren,s been fettling the headlight trying to get them to fit but they,re a bit of a poor fit as Pete will testify to !! They look better than in this piccy now though :scared:
11. The thing i havn,t told all of you is i,m a huge supporter of " care in the community " as you can clearly see !!
12. Darren hard at it with the pin puller repairing the damage running down the O/S sill
13. I,ll try to upload em again . This what was hidden under alot of bad filler I cut out the plate that had been welded over most of the hole ?? used a slide hammer to pull the panel edge back out and used wiggly wire and the pin puller to get the rest out . I trimmed it up and made a new repair plate and tacked it in , gonna finish it later . The spoiler holes have been welded up but darren used the spot welder cos you get far less distortion than mig welding them .
14. I,ve always liked this and at least it,s not photo shopped
15. Wow , that,s gonna be a beast !!!
16. Picky bugger ! at least it looks cool .lol
17. Mini zedworld !!! Cool
18. They now don,t show on my original post unless i click on them but CarMad,s are fine ??????? ooooer lol
19. When i first put them up they were visible ! very wierd . Cheers Car Mad :D
20. I could see there was some dodgy filler work there but i was quite suprised to find what it was hiding ! After a bit more digging The quarter was sat in a fair bit to the door so i cut out the plate that had been welded into give me more access to get the slide hammer in and used wiggly wire to pull the top section back out and pin pulled the dints . Once the panel was lining back up with the door edge i made a plate for the infill and tacked it in , gonna finish it tomorrow . The tailgate has had the holes welded but to make a neater job darren spot welded the plates in , minimal distortion compared to mig welding them and he also pin pulled the damage out of the o/s sill , it,s keeping him busy eh ! lol Ooh day off tomorrow ! yay
21. You have to make it worse before you make it better ! honest :whistling: lol
22. 5hit Dave , sorry to hear about this bud , i know you had more plans for the old girl so it,s such a shame to see another one go to Z heaven !! At least your ok though bud , that,s more important than any car !
