  3. They,re far too powerfull bud , if you try and close your bonnet with one of those on and you,ll fold your bonnet in half . The zed tailgate weighs a ton , the bonnet,s aluminium and weighs bugger all :scared:. HTH
  4. I,ll keep an eye on them :thumbup:
  5. Took a couple of hours on the first one , i used two 2kw fan heaters blowing on either side of the headlight to warm it up nicely, you can see them in the first pic . You could use a hot air paint stripper as long as your gentle to start off with. HTH
  6. I got myself a Volvo V70 estate , £600 off ebay , done nearly a quarter of a million miles , got all the bells and whistles in it , reliable as fook and sooo comfy plus the heated seats are a dream in this weather  Wanted a load lugger and never really looked at a Volvo but i,m so impressed with it !!!

  8. The hid,s in mine are what i canabalised out of a pair of merc headlights a good few years ago before these plug and play kits were available and i used the merc bulb holder for which i used epoxy to glue it in place and thats never come adrift so i cant imagine having any probs as these are a good few inches away from the actual heat source .
  9. My cars in bits at the mo :cry::cry:[ I,m just trying to do some bits in the workshop cos it,s tooo bloody cold out !! lol
  10. I,m getting some duct vent off CarMad so i,ve had to relocate my sidelights and thought i,d do the angel eye mod . Remove the metal plates and the rubber around the light , warm the glass well and using a flat scraper gently prise the glass up and off the headlight Remove the 2 screws from the bezel and lift out . The reflector area is held on with 3 screws , take this off so it,s easy to work on . The led strips have 24 leds in them but can be cut down after every 3rd led and still work , cut back as close as possible to the 4th one and you,ll find they go in the reflector but i found thy were still tight not sitting well , at the other end where the wires come out there,s a little bit of material that can be removed CAREFULLY so you don,t cut the wire , this allows it to sit flush without trying to lift. I used some scotchbright to key the chrome , got the leds sitting evenly with the join at the top and wicked a bit of superglue around it . Btw i had previously coiled the strips , warmed them and let them cool , they hold their shape alot better. I put it back together making sure it all worked first, i soldered a stronger wire to the leds and ran it out of a breather at the back of the light And the finished result but don,t forget to clean the insides well before rebuilding.

  23. Get a Caramel wheel , it,s specially designed to remove stripes , decals and double sided tape without damaging your paintwork , you can get them from any decent motorfactor . It,s a rubber wheel on a arbor that you put in a drill and basically rub the stripes or tape off , they work great .HTH Just found this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/STRIPE-REMOVAL-WHEEL-CARAMEL-TOFFEE-WHIZZY-/320613644011?pt=UK_Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item4aa60ff6eb
