  1. Yes bud i did that on the door filler and a bit on the top edge of the skirts but i also cut the flange that sits on top of the sill off and just bonded it to the face of the sill , main reason was the door gap was getting very tight with the skirt wrapping over into the door shut , this way i could blend them into the sill without closing the bottom door gap too much and keep it looking more natural , there wasn,t a problem with the skirts it,s just me i,m a fussy bugger about things like that ! lol
  2. :blushing::blushing: Cheers bud but i,ve been panelbeating for nearly 30 years ! Fook no wonder i feel knackered , must be ready for a break by now ! lol:lol:
  3. Just bear in mind you can,t paint on top of shultz if anyone thinking of using it on their sills . Stone chip is a paintable protection .
  4. Looking good m8 , we,ll make a panelbeater out of you yet !! lol :thumbup1::thumbup1:
  5. Yeah i was a bit concerned about trapping moisture behind the foam and it causing corrosion problems exactly what you trying to stop !
  6. I,ve bought a used pair of those cheap plastic M3 style mirrors with repeaters in to canabalise , i,m gonna cut the section with the repeater in and try and join and blend it into the standard mirror , hey presto ( hopefully ) trick mirrors  This sort of thing http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLACK-M3-MIRRORS-LED-INDICATORS-PEUGEOT-106-E-MARK-/400044622259?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d248481b3
  7. I did try and do this last week , shook the can well sprayed up into the skirt and waited for it to start expanding but it hardly did !!! don,t know whether it was the temperature or perhaps something either in the glass fibre or the shultz that reacted and stopped it !! just got a bit of a lumpy mess now , good job it,s not seen :blush:
  8. Spent most of the day on my knees rubbing filler down:sweatdrop::sweatdrop: as you can see i,m blending the skirts and the door fillers , gonna try and get the wing done tomorrow so i can get it primed and protected , i love rubbing filler down..NOT.. lol Once this sides done i can start on the other :crying::crying:
  9. It,s much easier to take the drivers seat out it,s only 4 bolts then lay on your back !! lol , the ausie tech info is for an auto , i don,t know if the matrix will pass by the clutch pedal assembly. HTH
  10. Never seen these before and would prefer not to see them again !!! YUK http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1993-NISSAN-300-ZX-TWIN-TURBO-SILVER-BLACK-/160495702928?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item255e4a1390
  11. I,m reverting back to standard lights but i,ve ordered those crystal ones from america , personally i think they actually look better than 99,s. I,ve got to say Dave your car is stunning , that pic from the front looks the dogs dangleys :bow::bow:
  12. I have my uses , not many i grant you !!! lol  I bet it makes a nice change to not be working on mine ! lol :whistling: It,ll be a nice car once you,ve done a bit of TLC m8
  13. An ex member Chunk took his modded TT shorty down Bruntingthorpes straight and hit 186mph measured on a sat nav !!!!
  14. It,s doing me proud Nick , i,ve not got room to build a garage , i don,t really want one on the drive when the zeds finished so i might try and find a neighbour who,ll rent theirs to me to keep it in .
  15. Lol , no auto aim online bud and i know what you mean about these kids playing , you,ll see a gamer tag like .. Sn1p3r.. something or other who,s at prestige ten and runs around no scoping with a sniper rifle or killing you with a throwing knife , you hear them when the mic,s on and they,re about 8 years old !!!!!! I must admit i,ve backed out of loads of games mainly when you can see someones boosting but quite a few times when i,ve had my arse handed to me on a plate by a kid !! just to save face . lol :blush::blush:
  16. You,ve been a busy boy , i bet your chuffed to bits with it bud :thumbup1:BTW a TT power steering pipe is different to an NA one if it,s the one that runs across the front of the subframe and up to the pump
  17. I,ve gone a bit OTT fastening mine down but i do need it to last , I,ve fastened wood battons to my drive and sat the whole thing on these so i could fasten the covering better then got a huge roll of rope and did this Bought a load of bungees to string across the insides to support the covering from blowing in too far and ripping . Should now withstand a nuclear attack !!
  18. Got it from here bud http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-x-6-WATER-PROOF-CARPORT-IDEAL-BOAT-STORAGE-ETC-/220640135474?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Garden_Structures_Fencing_CV&hash=item335f2d4932, i do get water running down my drive and under the car but it,s still sooo much nicer to be under cover !! It,s got zip up doors each end as well so you can either build around the car which i did as mine was immobile or on it,s own and drive in . I,ve slung ropes over mine and fastened them to the drive even though all the legs are securely screwed to the drive , the ropes help stop the covering bellowwing out too much in strong winds , works a treat . HTH
  19. Originally just on the drive with a cover over it then i treat myself !! lol http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=141706
  20. That,s looking the dogs dangleys bud :clap::thumbup1: I,ve also put my fuel filter in the same place as you
  21. Hiya bud , iirc it came with two new rubber gaskets and you need a good fitting phillips screwdriver for the screws holding the pipes to the matrix , if you chew a head up you,ll be in a land of hate , luckily all mine came undone ok . If you look at the Aussie instructions it points out the 8mm screw holding the copper matrix pipes in place , when i was talking to Jeff TT instead of getting to this through the hole in the bulkhead behind the engine which is a bitch to do as done in the aussie one , he,s bent an 8mm spanner and undoes his from under the dash , reaching in front of the matrix housing , i,ve not done it this way but if jeff recomends it then i,d say try it bud BUT DONT RE-FIT IT , IT,S NOT IMPORTANT lol . HTH
  22. Mine was a bit worse and took a bit more sorting:scared::scared: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=140933
