  1. Its another rental property nightmare :cursing: I got a call from one of my tennants saying that her partner had lost it and tried to rape and kill her. Apparantly they had not been getting on very well and he had agreed to leave in a week or something when he came home drunk and tried to rape her. He then started smashing the place up, she managed to call the Police and run outside. The baby was inside the house and he was screaming at it while smashing stuff up. When the Police arrived he would not open it so they smashed the door down. I went out there and the double glazed door is ruined and there is a lot of damage to the property. I have Landlords buildings insurance but am not sure if it will cover the damage as he was a "guilty party" and the child was in danger... any ideas? Next thing is that she has been advised to change the locks by the Police so she asked me to do that. I changed the locks but he is the earner/rent payer so I am now not going to be paid any rent. The DSS told her to stay there until I evict her for non payment, and that I will have to take her the whole way to court until they re home her... what a country we live in :helpsmilie:. I am sick of owning rental properties to say the least I would sell it if the market was better and I did not have redemption penalties on the mortgage grrrrr.
  2. Hmm that is worth knowing how much do you think it would cost to clay tile it.
  3. Phil you are a very clever bunny thanks, that was exactly what I was after including the ridge, pitch, and over hangs on all sides. Not that bad a price really I was expecting it to be a lot more than that as the main house was shockingly expensive to re thatch.
  4. If you are a lot brighter than me you might be able to help with this. As I live in a thatched cottage I am having terrible trouble getting planning for a new summerhouse. The long and short of it is that for my application they have refused roof shingles and so I am getting quotes for the following. A clay tiled roof and a thatched roof, the Thatcher has told me that he charges £9 per square foot and that you need to allow an extra foot for the over hang and an extra foot for the ridge. My question is this If you are trying to work out the cost for doing a roof 8M X 4M taking into account the extra for the pitch, ridge and overhang (plans here but of 6M X 4.5M) http://www.cabinsuk.co.uk/specs/nottinghamdrawings.html how much would that cost roughly at £9 square foot? Im not sure if anyone will have more of an idea than me (no idea) but thought it was worth a shout. Also if anyone knows a good roofer to quote for the tiling work in Hampshire for the same area please let me know.
  5. I dont know what they are, they were on the car when i bought it.. just know they are nice looking wheels.
  6. its shocking took mine out today, as soon as i am over like 25 percent on the gas the thing is skidding sideways up the road its shocking!!!!!!!!!!!! scariest car I have ever driven.
  7. Dude I wish I could get that much out of mine..
  8. Its a piece of metal at the end end of the day at least you are OK. But there is a hell of a lot of work there personally I would say it is a breaker or project car.
  9. Baz has everything and is a top fella... helped me out with loads of bits.
  10. OMG happy birthday shim sham only just seen this flim flam... have a great weekend.
  11. Ta very much great day, nice to put faces to some of the names on here!!! Hell of a journey but worth it.
  12. AEM tru boost just fits in the pillar awsome
  13. Thing is the forcast is rain and the water pours in and runs into the pillar clocks and I dont want them to short out. Also when the interior gets damp everything mists up making it a PITA to drive. Only just got it on the road i dont want to be damaging anything for the sake of getting it fixed properly. It is a shame but that is life!
  14. Yes i thought that i am going to be there just not with the zed, for such a well designed car these bits really do suck.
  15. Ok im coming now with a friend and now without the zed. it is leaking and I cant fix it so it will miss this one im afraid!. On the plus side my 911turbo is also far better on fuel!.
  16. i have tried being nice and it failed
  17. i have tried everything cant stop them leaking so i cant take the car to the zedworld bash..... what a PITA
  18. Vectra did you get your planning permission in the end?
  19. Sick of em im gonna make as much noise as possible, we have fallen out with both neighbours but living here you can go 18 months without seeing one of them so its fine. My neighbour the other side was chainsawing my trees down without permission he also poured diesel on a load. Cut a long story short he has about 30 acres and I said it would be a shame if he came home to find "dogs on chains and travellers living there lol". All i wanna do is mind my own business so why do these beaky feckers stick their nose in mine.
  20. :cursing: I am replacing an old summer house that has virtually fallen down. Because my place is listed it costs me far more money to do this than my neighbours either side who can do whatever they want in their own gardens. So i spend 3K having plans done by an arcietect and planning consultant (50% of the cost of the replacement structure). And one of my neighbours decides to object on the grounds that it will be used as Gym. He has stated that as it is to be used as an office and gym that "I might play music out there" so wants it soundproofed as its a log cabin. Its like 300ft away from the tossers house! WTF its not like i live in a terrace or something. Im sick to death of these old money ****s that think they own the world. His wife moaned about the noise the zed made im frickin paranoid of even having the thing running now. Yet at 730am they are both out there using ride on movers petrol leaf blowers, petrol hedge trimmers and stuff like that. I am so gonna be going out of my way to make some noise this year, been out there reving the car up today. Immidiately i start it they are out there reving up chainsaws etc. *****cks to em they did not even have the balls to knock on my door im sick of it.
  21. Ok Thing is they removed all traces of adhesive but I will have a look on the rubbers.
  22. Where should you use the sealant?
  23. Get solid ones will be a thing of the past lol gald you got her running ok.
  24. I am on the site search at the moment, should there be a rubber on the front edge of where the targa slots in?. I think they might have removed them if they were there painted the targas and put it back together? Sorry but the car was in bits so long I just have no idea if I am missing anything.
  25. Guys My car never leaked before it went to the bodyshop for a respray, now the water leaks straight down onto the seat both sides and runs down the pillars and comes out of my pillar clocks. its not from the holes in the top under the targa as they drain out underneath the car. It seems that since the bodyshop put them back they are not working properly. Had a chat with MJP and he said that certain parts need to be stuck down can anyone give me any pointers on how to fix this. I would like to take the car to zedworld on saturday but cant in case it rains at the moment as it literally pours in and I dont want to damage my pillar gauges etc.
