I was thinking about driving to Birmingham to pick the wheels up tommorow but its about 160 miles so I will just wait until Tuesday... The car is not here anyhows but just keen to see them after all this time.

We live out in the sticks bud and its, better to have em and not need em than need em and not have em. But she cant get anything to fit her 22s anyway im sure her chelsea tractor will be fine anyhows.

Last night my Mrs starts yelling at me to look out the window at two big creatures in the garden. I could not see anything and thought it might have been a fox or something. Then to my complete amazement two big wild Boar start digging in the flower bed out the front. Funny looking things like stocky pigs but with dark long coats. None reported around here either, im gonna see if I can a picture if they come back and post it up. Just worried about them killing the cats.

In small claims court if you can proove they sold the car and that they were not disadvantaged by you pulling out financially you stand a VERY good chance of getting your deposit back. The dealer will rely on the fact that you will do feck all and keep it. Small claims does not run to the letter of the law it is an "opinion" on the situation. And if you say they sold the car right away before I had a chance to re sell mine and they did not want to PX it for the same as the private sale money I think you have a good case. Its worth the small claims fee to shake the tree a bit and I bet they settle up before hand.

Yes I dont think my Bank Balance will ever get any faith back lol but im planning on enjoying her next year and want to go to the meets etc.

Yesterday Jimmer got my car running...:tongue_smilie: started straight up and purrrrred into life. Few bits left to do like a gearbox leak MOT and some bits on the suspension then all the mechanical stuff is done. What is also remarkable is that was with John Dixons Emerald fitting done without the car running. John and Jimmer are going to do the final Emeraldl adjustments soon, sort the traction control out, full throttle gear changes, and the NOS then this little baby will finally be tearing the rubber up :shifty: at long long last. The NOS is going to come on at low revs so their will be less than no lag. I cant wait to get this baby on the dyno! Words cant describe how greatful I am to Jimmer and John its a monster to work on and its finally going to be enjoyed and driven. And also today my Rays Titanium wheels have arrived in the UK and will be delivered on Tuesday. The dealer told me that rays have said they are the only set of these that they have ever made for a 300zx in Europe so its going to be a joy to see them on the zed... Thanks again guys :clap:

I am just ordering some snow chains for my wifes 4x4 they are 22 inch wheels but need the width If the tyres are 285 35 r 22 what is the width?

Just checked on the net and green is commonly associated with an Exhaust to water system leak (same as mine as it goes). Without HG faliure it will stay blue indefinately as its the leaking gas that changes the colour. Its a pisser when you see it change colour, I tested mine on another car and it stayed blue then I knew I was in trouble lol.

Sorry just scrolled to see the colour change thats head gasket faliure bud, do it a couple of times when it is warmed up to double check it.

I believe that it should stay blue if its ok, mine turned grrenish yellow from memory.

Just get a NOS kit and you are there bud! nice simple mod just use it in moderation and you will be laughing.

I tried three thermostats as well as I just could not believe it was the HG at fault as everything else checked out fine. But it does sound like what mine was doing and does give the impression that their is an air lock in the system every time. But the reality is that the high pressure was forcing the water out of even the tightest joints.

Compression test will not always pick up a HG leak compression on mine was 100%. Sniffer will always work to my knowledge. Mine was only blowing very slightly and had no oil in the water, smoke, steam, etc. Just kept presurising the water system either until parts started leaking or it over heated. I changed the water pump, fan clutch, viscose fan and rad, and did a compression test and everything looked fine until I used the sniffer on it. But Jimmer will tell you it was definately a HG faliure once it was apart.

Check the head gaskets use a sniffer on ebay just to be on the safe side

Yes you should get a medal for that bud! I know its possible but no way on earth mine would have come off like that I had to hacksaw a bolt off mine!.
