  1. lol... the engine is junk.... rings broken, cylinders scored and a mess... it's either a full rebuild of another block/engine.. can't afford the rebuild. :( yeah, really peed.. i paid nearly 6k for the car .. but I think Leigh lost more than that with all the work he had done or should I say work he paid for.
  2. LOL... got the car at Zedworld right now...engine in bits.... and (not to anyone's surprise) it turns out that the only thing 100% that Chris is... is unmentionable!!! So as it turns out the engine isn't the one that Leigh bought from Bazz.... it's no wonder it was such a good deal! so no bottom end rebuild, no Wiseco forged pistons and defo not worth what Leigh paid!!!!! Another example of people being taken for a ride.... however lucky for Leigh he sold it on to me and now I'm stuck with it. Jeff is doing his best to sort something out for me....
  3. just got one of these for £15.92 delivered: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gunson-77074-Spark-Extension-Tester/dp/B003AMXBM4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1350482476&sr=8-1 now only need a timing light... :) ... lol...
  4. Hi Nick and welcome... check out the for sale section, I think there are a couple of cars breaking... so you might be in luck. failing that post in the wanted section.... :)
  5. speak to CarMad... he might be able to make one up.... :)

  7. LOL... you'll get 300 goodies when you're 300!!! :)
  8. no... the tps voltage is taken either two ways, one with conzult or the other with a multimeter (as groover has explained) and that can be done with the engine off see the guide i sent you.. - - - Updated - - - lol.. well then I'm wrong.. :)
  9. there is a link in the page I sent you to the TPS... :)
  10. if you need to adjust the idle warm car up... turn car off disconnect AAC turn car on adjust idle screw to 650 ish rpm connect AAC and bingo.... http://z32.wikispaces.com/Idle+Control but if you do that and the high idle was because the cable or something was sticking you risk stalling.
  11. are you sue the throttle is sticking or do you mean it just idles high now... if its stinking then go over it with WD40 .... if not you need to adjust the idle with the IAA....
  12. there are two temp sender units on the front top coolant pipe. the one with two spades is the ecu temp unit and will control how the car runs. the other one with the one spade is the temp gauge unit. check them both for corrosion and damage... they could both be playing up but it could also be a coolant issue. :) good luck..
  13. LOL..I should have said or changed the brand... it was from a mate of mine in Oz.. VB is Victoria Bitter... its like fosters (same company) but drinkable.. :)
  14. I'll never forget how happy I was when I saw my missus walking down the aisle towards me.............. My heart was beating fast and the excitement was unbearable. It seemed to take an age, but eventually there she was, standing beside me. I gave her a cheeky wink and said, "Get that trolley over here love. They're doing 3 cartons of VB, for the price of 2."
  15. in setting it says.. Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller). so if you have it as a jpeg you might get a bigger pic in. bu I'm sure you can link it to a hosting site like Photobucket.... however be a ware that the bigger your sig the more space it takes on a page and that is for every single post you make... and it does get a bit tedious when people have massive sig pics.. :)
  16. Hi, I think it's going to come down to "not worth spending any more money on it" irrespective of how much I want to keep it. been a Zeder since i was 19 and 33 years later still want to be. the thing that might make me change is what will the new 240Z look like if they bring one out... :)
  17. Hi Adam, Welcome.... yeah, for that price I think you could pick up a good car... have you checked the cars for sale section on the forum? best of luck with finding a new car... and a good idea is to read up in the FAQ's on buying a Zed..
  18. agreed... can you remove both of their bids?
  19. and if you're taking the plenum off.. http://z32.wikispaces.com/Coolant+Line+Bypass
  20. Yeah, so just to confirm you have cleaned all connectors on the PTU, CAS & MAF.. etc. you can test the resistance on the injectors and you can also check that they are firing but since its intermittent it "may be" more likely to be an electrical problem. did you clean the injector connector?
  21. Exactly... the 300zx hub is 66.1mm but the alloys are varied... this is an example of some on ebay.. but you need to know the wheel size. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/x4-Spigot-Rings-67-1mm-BSA-ASA-Alloys-for-66-1mm-Nissan-/310426323227?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyre_Trims_Trims_ET&fits=Car+Make%3ANissan|Model%3A300+ZX&hash=item4846d9c91b
  22. fuel pressure regulator, return feed to the tank... most definitely get that sorted... as far as making it run rough, I'm not sure, if the leaks is after the regulator and there is nothing wrong with it (as fas as keeping the pressure in he fuel line) then I can't see it causing an issue (other than a fire risk!!!). However is the leak is pre the regulator then a lower fuel pressure may cause some problems.
