As I recall from some posts you put up earlier the history of the car is a little patchy right? not sure about how often and how well its been serviced? I'd do all the usual bits and bobs first if you haven't already, Oil Change (to a proper fully synth), fuel injector/engine cleaner fuel additive for a couple of tanks, Also check the air filter for junk/oil and that the pipes that feed it a clear. and give her a few good runs to see if it clears up! Then if it's still doing it or gets worse time to start worrying!

Just done some sums! the error is going to be accumulative, sooo for every 1mph on the clock im actually going to be doing 1.125mph which means 20mph is actually 22.5mph 40 is 45 60 is 67.5 80 is 90 100 is 112.5 120 is 135 140 is 157.5 160 is 180 That is if the Jap speedo maxes at 180. thats some snappy maths there pete! ;) You can adjust the speedo using some pots on the back right? wonder if there is that much adjustment in them... hmmmmmm

I'll let you know if I find out how to recalibrate the speedo! cant say Im too bothered about missing those extra 20mph! never go that fast anyway!

arrrrrrrrrgghhhhhhh just spotted something very bad! the Jap speedo goes to 180 right!!!! look at the speedo on there!!! only 160!!!! nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! (you were right about the quick edit BTW!!)

Have a butchers at these, £40 off a guy on ebay, seem pretty good quality on first inspection, I'll let you know how they look when installed.

It's a little odd how some of us seem slightly scared of our cars going bang! so we dont drive them "properly" should we really be that worried about putting them in the red every-so-often? No way, I had an Astra GTE and Renault 19 16v at that age, both 150ish BHP and I never had any pro.... hang on.... oh no I fooking crashed em both! :x: Still I managed to keep the silvia for 9 months before destroying that! Get an old range rover and black out the windows, everybody at college will think you are a pimp or a drug dealer or both which cant be bad (not at college anyway!)

It's a good film, but I think it is a bit over-rated, not a patch on Pulp Fiction, anybody watched that recently? Watched it on monday, still bloody excellent!
