  1. Hi, if you know a thing or two about car audio, can you advise me what type of wire needs to go to a speaker, should it be nice and thick. However if it was thin would this impair performance and if so how. Cheers rich
  2. Understood, i'll keep an eye through the rad cap till I get the tank off my spare car. Rich
  3. Whats wrong with the LED ones!! Any extra forward illumination should be welcome.... Rich
  4. I did fill the system by the rad, don't worry, just wanted to know any problems running with a holy header Rich
  5. Hi Guys, pulled up at my house last night and steam was pouring out from under the bonnet, after a bit of cooling down I found one of the water pipes at the rear of the engine had popped a hole causing the loss of water. so, I go to my spare car, remove the good one and replace it in about 3 hours. Must say, having a spare car is a must!!. I then proceeded to fill her up! only to find im pouring water in the header tank and getting wet feet at the same time... so my question is how much of a inconvenience is having no water in the header tank. Rich
  6. Cheers Paul..thanks Rich ps, its an Auto
  7. I use the car everyday and I've not had any problems, so I guess i'll be okay, thanks for the encouraging words. would removing the pos lead make a difference? I only ask as on my horsebox there is a battery isolator which I turn off when not in use (2 months later and it starts okay) Rich
  8. Hi guys, just wondering how much these go for and availability, as my zed has the series 1 unit and I want more control!!! Rich
  9. Hi guys, quick question, I'm thinking of going away soon and was going to use a park and fly car park. When I get back after 1 week, I will be worried about if the car will start!, so is there anything I can do to maintain the battery's charge over the week. ie take the pos lead off? Cheers Rich
  10. First, congratulations, you really have a labour of love there, or you just like winning competitions.... Second, how nervous were you cutting that big hole in that perfect bonnet........ Rich
  11. Boldy, great website, nice and clear Diagrams, Simon, what can i say, correct as always, remember i have a spare care in my garden and cutting away a piece and welding it onto the road car, my thoughts were to remove the panel itself , which on my spare car is spotless/rustless, and transplant it as a whole to the road car. Now i see the middle piece is not part of it it is looking quite feasible. Cheers Rich
  12. Hi Guys, Once the rear bumper is removed there is a metal valance that goes around the rear from arch to arch, around the metal bumper , does any one know if this can be removed as one. Cheers Rich pic shows one side, ignore the red polygon
  13. it looks purrfect , how much you after, pm me if needed. Rich
  14. Gaz, hi. Which, wheel or boss? Rich
  15. Hi guys, Thinking of getting another steering wheel, but I guess it will need one of those expensive bosses.. so just wondering if anyone has one kicking around not being used I could purchase off you... Cheers Rich ps or even a decent looking wheel....
  16. Hi, I have a set of Sparco/crimson Python/NSII call them what you like Alloys. Below are a Centre cap and nut cover, I have been trying to get more of each as I don't have a full set. Trouble is that they are as rare as rocking horse sh1t. Question is, is there anything else out there that might do the job off other wheels, ,or anything else, as I'm getting really peed orffffff rich
  17. Well here's the first one entitled "Things you shouldn't do to your Zed" 1, When trying to fix a dodgy brake light, do not smack the lens to hard as it cracks.. :censored: :censored: Number 2 anyone.. Rich
  18. Damm it, he looks like the Lion they were trying to shoot...
  19. Guys, thought id let you know, I found another part of the ASCD circuit that no one mentioned, so just to let you know there is a control unit under the passenger footwell near the main ECU and the Gearbox one. I was going to check the pin voltages, but when I looked under the carpet, the bleeding thing wasn't even plugged in!!!. so I popped the plug in and whey!! hey!! a working cruise control... If only someone knew about it sooner and told me. Rich
  20. Saw a great new Film on Netflix last night, "The Ghost and the Darkness" Starring Val Kilmer... still looks great after all these years, hasn't let himself go like other actors..
  21. Terry, looks a great looking Zed, how long have you been working on it,? Regards Rich
  22. Okay, managed to remove the rear bumper, thanks for your tips, the Picture shows where I need to make the "cut" on the panel and then weld on to the corresponding place on the working car, seems straightforward enough... :headvswal I am surprised that, my donor car, a G Reg, 1 year older, has the same rear panels in such good conditioned rust wise. Cheers Rich
  23. Simon , Thanks for that, just the ticket, as always. Also thanks Dan, shows me where the bumper is fitted. the issue I have is the bumper has peeled away in the area shown and the metalwork has put up no fight against oxidation.. I have some options, just needed to know what I was dealing with. I also agree, there's not a spot of rust on Si's car... immaculate Cheers Rich
