  1. It won't have numbers on it just the hands if that makes sense ... so no actual clock face just the hands in front of the rotor....
  2. There isn't any the clock mechanism is a simple battery powered glue on motor with clock hands.. Probably will attach to the rotor using silicone on the backside.
  3. Hi guys, Been busy recently ripping out an old kitchen and preparing to fit a new one. I am at the final stages almost ready to install units etc painting and prepping electrics plumbing is all done. Anyway in my kitchen I want to put up a clock, sounds simple enough... Unfortunately I always want to have my own personalised touch and have decided to make a clock using my old dimpled grooved brake rotor and caliper as I have seen some online but for the cost I already have the parts and knowledge (I think) to make my own and what makes it better is for me it's a zed clock. Now for the main question. The wall I will want to put it on is thin and the rotor is not exactly light.. How would you hang it? :) More specifically the type of wall plug or bolts.. Wouldn't want it falling as my misses walks under it into the pantry lol. All comments welcome. Cheers Jon
  4. Thanks noel. Messaged you through Facebook... Thanks again.
  5. Hi Noel, you mapped my zed a year or so ago when it was an auto, im having it converted to manual soon and wondered if it needs mapping again or if its safe to drive under the existing map. im guessing as its only a change of gear wether thats done by me or a computer souldnt matter but just checking in case? Also read a thread on here that you run without recircs or bov's, is this safe on stock turbos 17psi, as im considering this myself to eliminate goosehonk and i dont mind the pigeon flutter noise instead. ? Thanks Jon
  6. sorry, yes in this case, but I was talking in general.
  7. only for people who know what they are checking for... i wouldnt have a clue unless it was in my face obvious.... ie damaged outer panels, how can you tell if underneath a panel is buggered?
  8. didnt the roll cage have a big chunk cut out of it because some dash pods got in the way :), thats what it looked like anyway.
  9. Is he on the verge of being sacked? im guessing if he is suspended its the same as if i got suspended by my work, meaning he is hanging by a thread pending some sort of investigation. If he is let go, surely he will just end up with his own show similar on another channel which everyone will probably watch anyway? By getting rid of him they must realise they will lose a lot more than they will gain. big decision to be made by the bbc.
  10. sent you a text mate, got some dimpled and grooved front discs you can have for free i might just be a bit of a trek away.... jon
  11. nice work! where can i get some ramps like that?
  12. Overtightening the wheel nuts done mine in
  13. Ive even got some spare studs I can send you. How many you need? The hardest part of the whole thing is probably pulling the disk off.
  14. Its a peice of cake to do yourself. If I can do it anyone can.
  15. I done one of mine recently. With the disk and caliper out of the way I used a lump hammer to knock the dodgy one out. To fit the new ones I got a bolt the same size as the wheel nuts and a load of wwashersas spacers then ratcheted the bolt up tight and it will slowly pull the new wheel stud into place. Dont use your existing wheel nuts as you will fudge them up.
  16. This is a little dissapointing to read. I would have thought this forum , a place full of fellow zed enthusiasts would be the most trustworthy of places to trade. Hopefully it all gets resolved without people having to leave the club.
  17. Is that the zed that was origionally listed as a twin turbo by mistake.. looks similar.. ? Still looks decent though. Hopefully there is no hidden surprises
  18. if you want mine you can have them. I have 3 center caps. In exchange for the exact sizes of our center caps so i can order some. as I was going to replace all mine with plain simple ones anyway.
  19. Hi andrew it doesnt have any on the hose but I have secured the lines with cable ties and the same place the standard hose went. I test drove it and they stop me fine but I will take it to get done properly. Thanks for the help guys.
  20. I got a friend round to do it the proper way and it feels similar but better now still spongy but the pedal doesnt go to the floor. It goes solid about 1 and half inch before the floor. I think its just because my nissan ones were different. But im going to take it for a light drive to test them
  21. Hi all As many of you are aware I have been fitting (truing to fit) my new brembo kit evo 8 ones. Thanks to dan and a few others yesterday I managed to get off my crappy stiff bolts. Dans trick with a blow torch and mould grips for a rounded seized nut come off in seconds. Now I have bled the brakes with a one man bleeder kit that supposedly stops air going into the system. I waited until the clear tube on the kit was free of any air bubbles before tightening up the bleed screws I also worked from drivers side inner to outer then same on passenger side. With everything done up and resevoir cap back on I started the engine. Push the brake pedal which went down with little force . Allowed it to rise back up and did the same expecting it to be firmer but it wasnt. I can push the pedal all the way to the floor with a little extra force. What have I done wrong. Other than doing it myself.? Should the engine be running when bleeding or will it not make a difference? I bled with the key turned iito position 2 for the dash lights to be on.
  22. Tried that andrew. Did nothing lol. I went and bought another hex flare nut wrench this evening and a blow torch. So ill have a crack at it tomoro. Some pics to see what it will look like. [/img]
