  5. Hi all Fitting my brembos and am at the stage where I connect my new braided hoses and detach the old one. Can someone clarify where I conect too. Seems to me like there is only one place which is where the thin pipe meets the thick pipe on the drivers side its up and to the front of the car inline with the bottom of the suspension spring. Is this correct or am I wrong.? Thanks
  6. cheers mate. comes in handy, you having same wheels as me :)
  7. just in case. where can i get some from. i think ive got them already but just saves asking again tomorow if i havent.
  8. are the spigot rings the plasticy looking things already inside the wheel? or do i have to buy them seperate
  9. Will i need the tracking or anything doing after fitting these? Been told by a mate that ill have issues with handling due to me fitting them. I dont believe him, i think its cause we are going on a track day soon so he maybe trying to throw me off due to my car being waay quicker than his. But if anyones going to know its you guys, and gals. any advice welcome. I have to fit them due to my bigger brakes btw.
  10. Just ordered some hubcentric spacers. Guess ill have to fit them at a later date. At least its sunny out.
  11. Do some searches on here for brembo upgrade. Thats what I did. It was the size of the calipers after seeing a set in the flesh that made my mind up. Then finding out that the cost wasnt grands also.
  12. its just a 345mm disk. I presume it fits many cars including the zed and evo. Its not custom made for the zed. But im not that mechanicaly minded so couldnt be 100% sure. But as a guess id say if you had my brakes and wanted disks you could search for 345mm disks with the same stud pattern as the zed and they would fit.i know the backing plate behind the disk needs cutting or taking off to accomodate the extra size. But I think you need the bigger brakes for it to work properly. Stock ones probably too small. But im sure someone could tell you for sure. As this is all new stuff for me too
  13. that statement should have been under top paragraph lol
  14. Would the disk be wider ?. From what ive read most 18 inch wheels (like ours) have no issues. Some 17s lack space due to rim size. But yh cause of how our spokes are shaped that might cause issues. At least theres always spacers. btw groover I put 275/35/18 tyres on the rear like we discussed and what a difference it makes mainly looks wise. Fills up the arches better But yh the way our wheels are it will be intresting to see.
  15. The kit I ordered is specific to 300zx to evo brembo upgrade. But id assume the evo ones are the same but honestly couldnt tell you.
  16. yh thats my next worry. But ive planned on spacers soon so if they dont ill get spacers and then fit them
  17. Mild steel I painted them myself to keep costs down. After about a year when they start looking grubby and I have some spare money ill get them powder coated
  18. yh I couldnt finish it all lol
  19. these are massive. Comparrison next to a large robinsons squash bottle
  20. Ill let you know if they work. Lol. Ive heard nothing but good reviews. Plus its not only a good performance mod its also a good visual mod. As they look the nuts
  21. Plus 50 for new pads then some high temp laquer and some orange paint. So just over 600. And im going to need brake fluid tomoro
  22. Got them as part of a kit. Ebay seller does the brake disks with braided lines and the brackets . Cost 340 quid. I was a bit sceptical at first as to what types of design the brackets would be as there were no pics of them on the ebay advert. But they came and they look fine. Very similar to some of the guys on here. Plus a member on here advised he has the same kit and all is good still after miles of driving.
  23. Yes but larger than standard. 345 mm disks. They are massive.
