Im no expert but as far as it sounds if the cyclist was to raise the issue he wouldnt get anywhere with it if your mate denied it all the way... i know its not the best way to deal with it and people will think im out of order saying it, but if the correct procedure wasnt followed then he doesnt have a leg to stand on... glad the cyclist wasnt badly injured tho ( i can be nice sometimes )

then as long as all that is as above you can ditch the laptop charger, bit of an odd way for the set up to start with ive never seen it like that before :)

you should have a large power cable going directly to the battery giving you a constant live, then the thin remote wire to the back of the stereo telling the live when to turn on and off (when the stereo does) if that makes sense.... :) (then obviosly your earth) so 3 wires pluse speaker cables etc

normally the remote wire on the stereo tells the amp to turn on, when the stereo does.....

mine used to do that, box was nackered.... needed a replacement.. did try all the other options first tho, oil changed etc but no luck...... sorry dude
