  1. probably due to all the power its pushing out , ;)
  2. i struggle to understand why you would put all that work and money into making it into the monster it is, then sell it. spend 20k+ then let it go for considerably less. so someone else can enjoy your hard work.
  3. I painted my brembos orange but my car is black. So the opposite would suit yours ie black calipers on orange car with orange letters like ted said.. would look good. I put a link to my picture on facebook dunno if that worked. I never understood how to put up pics on the forum. Without creating accounts on picture sites. :)
  4. Thanks shortz. Saves a lot of messing about. Thanks again
  5. Thanks. I have messaged the guy on ebay for a picture of the brackets but yet to get a response. Ill keep the link you suggested in mind.
  6. Hi all, I have purchased a pair of brembo front calipers off ebay for a bargain. And have read up a few posts on here regarding the disks needed and brake lines and brackets for relocating the caliper. I was wondering if anyone had bought this kit off ebay and if it was any good? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=221427525667&alt=web Or can anyone point me in the best direction to get the correct parts from. My main concern is the relocation brackets as I dont want crap ones and I know ebay sometimes sells dodgy stuff. Thanks jon
  7. Yes thanks. I was just being too soft on it.. gave it a few big wacks with a block off wood between hammer and disk. It came off no trouble and ni damage
  8. As the title suggests. How do I get it off. Calipers are off ready. Im keeping the rotors so dont want to destroy them while removing. I snapped a wheel stud by overtightening it. The reason for removal. Thanks
  9. thanks guys, i am planning on the odd track day aswell and its an auto so i will try out the hawks

  12. Hi all been a while since posting on here. The beast has been off the road for about a year while I saved for a deposit for my house. Anyhoo when all the house stuff was done I got jim to rebuild my engine. I got the car back recently and am very happy with it and just wanted to say a big big thank you to jim for all his hard work. I now understand why he has a reputation for being the main man for engine builds. if anyone is thinking of a build in the future, jim is the man to speak to. Unfortunatley I have no idea how to upload pics from my phone. Maybe jim might be kind enough to put some up for me if he still has them.
  13. Sorry yes that would help.. I believe the overfloe hole on the coolant tank
  14. Hi everyone, its been a while since coming on here with a post i have mainly just popped in now and again to have a read due to my zed being problem free for so long. Well that situation changed slightly yesterday... I was at work the other night and a mate of mine came in and told me my car had a leak i didnt believe him as he is the type to mess around with your head like that. When i finished work i did check as im paranoid about stuff like yhat but i couldnt see a leak. I drove home all was fine. The next night i got too work again all fine i deciddd to give it s couple of revs in the car park and check the leak situation again. well.... The passenger side had spewed out lots of dirty water.. No oil just dirty water. I couldnt do much about it so left it and done my shift. Driving home the car started to overheat temp gauge flew up. I put the car on axle stands and did s coolant change and flush and also took the coolant tank off and cleaned all the crap out of it as the water was like coffee. I then put everything back together and did a full top up with water and coolant 50/50 mix as i read on a website. Left the car running with all fans on highest heat setting and everything was fine car got up to temp and was cosy warm.. I drove my mate who helped me , home and came back home altogether about 3/4 mile trip and car was running fine.. In the car park outside my house i decided yo do the ol' rev trick and see if it leaked. It leaked but not anywhere near as much sort of just fast drips like heavy rain.. But at least the watrr was clean... Is this a common issue is there something i could have done wrong? Anyone had this problem before? Im worried now everytime i want to go out in case it overheats again. Thanks guys Jon
  15. just seen jeffs post regarding the sensor and a few other posts showing the location etc..... ill get under the car tomorow and have a go...... cheers guys..
  16. Ok guys don't want to hijack the thread but i think if i post what problem i found others that have the same problem but unable to check autobox diagnostics can check the source of my problem if someone is able to answer and either fix or eliminate it from there problems...... So i just been out and done the autobox diagnostics and i got the code .. speed sensor shorted or disconnected.... Where do i start to look????
  17. Mine has been doing this aswell lately i am sweating it as this will be my 4th gearbox lol... and have been so much more carefull with this one .... when important at lights it pulls off like its in 2nd but if i click into neutral and back to drive it pulls off fine.. ill check the fuse on mine today.. failing that zedworld can have a crack at it..... fingers crossed its not another new box needed.... i should learn how to change it myself.. As it needs replacing every other week.... Lol
