Power Steering Fluid Change
No idea- never had to do it! HTH :D

Goose Honk!
I thought that this only happens if your recircs are on the way out, tho I'll happily be proved wrong :D If this is the case, then I presume a new pair of recircs will also cure it.

pub meet (forgot to put poll up)
Yeah it was a good do- but it would have been nice to have a few more Zeds there! :hyper: (Just the 4 of us plus the Z31.) Cheers for organising it Jay- I vote you the Hampshire & Surrey rep! Mark

who's been to micheldever tyres
Thought I'd add to this thread as I've just been down there, in case anyone else searches for info on this place... If you want 4 wheel tracking from the outset, then you have to pre-book, so best to ring first. If you just turn up (like I did!) then they'll take all the measurements but will only adjust the front toe, for £19. You then have to book to have the rear toe done, which will cost £26. And they only take appointments for weekdays. Presumably for the whole lot in a one-er it costs £45... And lastly, if you only want tracking done, you can skip the "tyre" queue and go straight to the "tracking" queue (though you do have to go in through the exit :nono: )

South east pub meet needs you

pub meet (forgot to put poll up)
LOL  I guess I'd better turn up in it anyway, as Baggins has just done the rear crank seal, new clutch and given it a clean bill of health  apart from the tracking. What time's kick-off? Mark

What's the current Zed-count Jay? The next question is- do I bring my Zed and only have a couple :duffer: or do I walk and drink buckets?! :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: Mark

MR2-based GT
Really? I'm a bikini man myself... But how about... PVC bikinis?! :D
-
MR2-based GT
I guess you'd prefer "Chicks in PVC"?! ;) TBH I wouldn't really know how well a well-tuned MR2 handles anyway, so I'll stop listing all the cars I haven't driven and go back to sleep!
-
MR2-based GT
Ooo you lucky person. I've seen a few Nobles around here, but that's about it! Handling-wise they don't seem to be doing much (or anything in fact) to the suspension, so I guess it'll handle about as well as a well-tuned MR2! Hmm, only had 4 views on this thread! Maybe I should have titled it "naked lesbian mud wrestling" :D

MR2-based GT
I reckon it could cause him a bit of a headache! Dunno how much shipping would be but I suppose you're looking at around 25 grand in the UK?
-
MR2-based GT
Ok, so it's Mister-2 based, but then why would you want to do this kind of thing to a lovely Zed?! :) http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=9509 http://www.ddrmotorsport.com/ Actually I think it's a cool idea- take a highly tunable platform, strip the (rusted?!) exterior and plonk a McLaren F1-style fibreglass body over the top. Cheap too, though only in the US of A...

Kids views of a 300/jap cars
My next-door neighbour has a 5-year old who was apparently "concerned" about my car- I asked the kid why, and he said it was because the bonnet was always up! LOL Observant little rugrat. He also asked his dad whether his V6 Vectra was faster than my Zed. "No son" his dad replied "That one's a lot faster than mine" :D Mind you the poor kid looked most upset. Heh heh!

Why spend 100k on a car, when a Z gets more attention.
The wife had to tell the hubby that?! LOL

Why spend 100k on a car, when a Z gets more attention.
I was about to head home after work- the guy walking down the car park infront of me saw my Zed and stopped dead in his tracks and gawped at the front view, then took 5 steps back to admire the front/side angle. He then slowly continued on, still looking at it. :D I must admit- it *was* looking particularly sexy that day! I had the biggest grin all the way home!

who remembers......
Surely "Battle of the Planets" was the programme of all time?! "G-FORCE!!!"

Good/Bad Car Parks in Bristol?
Question directed towards anyone who knows Bristol... Are there any particularly good or bad car parks, in terms of car crime? Going out in Bristol tonight- my girlfriend (bless her!) will be driving back after I've had my fill, so I was wondering out of the various car parks whether there are any we should avoid. Cheers, Mark

The Police what is your view on them?
I think that the whole police farce is too business-orientated, and that it's all about money. It's so totally obvious that speed cameras are NOT put up in places where there are accidents, they're put up where they'll catch the most motorists. There was a chap in Farnborough who was in the papers a few months back coz the cops banned him from driving for warning motorists of a speed trap, and he wasn't even in a car!!! http://www.pistonheads.com/speed/default.asp?storyId=8553 Solidarity brother! And there are sooooooooo many stories about people who are victims of REAL crime (assault, robbery, etc) where the police just couldn't be less bothered about it. Anyway, like I said, I think the main problem is how it's all run. If the pigs were focussed on protecting the public from crime, rather than increasing revenue, I think things would be better.

Zed in Bournemouth, 2.30am Sat morning
I was rolling around pi$$ed as a fart in the back of someone's car at the time so I'm a little shakey on the facts! :duffer: :slap: I think it was a red F reg. Probably about 5 mins out from the town centre, but no idea what direction!
